The girl had told her friends that the family friend was coming on to her and it was creeping her out.
No 16 year old girl has control of a grown man. Ever.
A very true observation. When we read of the abduction of young women I refer to the Elizabeth Smart case. Totally and completely innocent, yet seen in the company of the rotten pervert and did not scream and yell.
We will await the official report and the professional people who will tell us more. The girl, in my opinion is innocent and a victim.
God grant her strength.
dearest CaptainK...
you are right about a grown man, but you assume all men past the age of 21 are really “grown men”.
The girl had multiple body piercings and posted sexually suggestive photos of herself online. Why were mom & dad not monitoring this?
The mom allowed the pervert to take the daughter on a week long trip to L.A. where they stayed together in the same hotel room. Why was this permitted?

“No 16 year old girl has control of a grown man. Ever.”
This is from Wiki about Doug Hutchison who married the 16yo girl:
“Though Berman (a marriage counselor) was eventually surprised by the dynamic between the two, she commented on her initial hesitations about working with the couple, saying, “I believe it was the wrong decision to let a 16-year-old marry a man in his 50s. Its uncomfortable to see [at first] I said to my producer, I think this guy is a pedophile I dont know if I can work with these people. I dont condone it, but I do see that this is a married couple that is genuinely married and they have marital issues that needed to be worked on. I came in saying, ‘Shes a victim, hes a predator.’ What I found out was that she has a lot more power in this relationship, and he is far more powerless, than I expected. His family has completely disowned him He, unfortunately, has nothing besides her.” Hutchison was also defended by Stodden’s mother, Krista Keller, who praised him for the kindness and love with which he treats Stodden.”
