San Diego's serial sexual harrassing Mayor Bob Filner entered "therapy" a week early and will complete the two week program today, says his spokesman.
Unfortunately for Filner, it may be too late. A source at city hall says that the locks to the doors of the mayor's office have been changed which could either be a subtle hint from his staff that he should take a permanent vacation, or Filner has already decided to step down but is waiting to announce it an an opportune time.
San Diego Mayor Bob Filner's chief of staff confirmed to 10News that the mayor began his therapy a week early and has already completed the program, but a statement from his attorneys said he will finish his therapy Saturday.
On Friday afternoon, Chief of Staff Lee Burdick told 10News reporter Allison Ash that Filner began his two weeks of "intensive" therapy one week earlier due to "intense media coverage."
In a press conference in late July, Filner said he would begin his two-week therapy session on August 5.
He was originally scheduled to come back to work August 19, but Filner is reportedly coming back to San Diego Friday.
When asked, Burdick did not say when the mayor would return.
However, in a statement from Filner's attorneys obtained by 10News noted that the mayor would "complete his voluntary, two-week intensive treatment program on August 10."

He must have run out of Pesos in Tijuana. After that much “therapy”, he is lucky that he can still walk. However, in 5 days to two weeks, there will be something else he won’t want to do.

Bob Filner is a Democratic Congressman for California’s 51st District. Without doubt he is one of the most far left members of the U.S. House of Representatives. This is not surprizing, as Bob Filner’s father, Joseph Filner, was once a leading member of the Communist Party USA.

My advice to the city’s workers:
When Filner’s around....don’t be bent over.
Robert Mitchum, noted actor and frequent user of alcoholic beverages, said after one of his stays at rehab, “At (the) Betty Ford Clinic, I learned to put two ice cubes in my drinks instead of one.”
I doubt if a serial groper was rehabilitated in a week’s time. JMHO

Like you say, seems a lid has been kept on it because I haven’t seen a thing about it in all the recent articles, you’d think it would have been.
Ha, I called it. Give him a medal and praise him for overcoming such trials, blah, blah, blah. Therapy and rehab are nothing but get out of jail free cards. Go to therapy for a few days and all your sins are forgiven.
