America, President Barack Obama said Friday, you’re just like my wife. You’re always on my case.
Obama’s patronizing attitude has never been far from the surface, or from the minds of his political opponents. But not since he said two years ago that his daughters did a better job than Congress in getting their homework done has he been this explicit.
It’s the flip side of “I got this”: everyone else doesn’t.
That more than anything was the theme of Obama’s brusque, brisk pre-summer vacation press conference. On Obamacare implementation, immigration reform, the Benghazi investigation and the other topics he was confronted with in the East Room, the message was the same: he’s the stock sitcom dad with the wife and the kids who always give him trouble. But eventually they’ll realize that he was right and love him for it. He’s just getting tired of watching the reruns.
So okay, Obama said, he understands when people express their frustration about the surveillance programs. As long as he and America are going to be stuck in this marriage another three-and-a-half years, he’ll play along.
“If I tell Michelle that I did the dishes — now, granted, in the White House, I don’t do the dishes that much, but back in the day,” Obama said, “and she’s a little skeptical, well, I’d like her to trust me, but maybe I need to bring her back and show her the dishes and not just have her take my word for it.”

Did he even know Michelle and the girls before he entered politics? Just kidding I’ve seen the wedding with Michelle and birth pictures of the girls just like everyone else has.

I think he should take those campaign buses and load them up with inner city Democrats from Detroit and bring them to his big party at Martha’s Vineyard. Oh, that’s right, he doesn’t like them.
I'm ready for some “sunshine” to expose the nasty stuff festering in DC. Edward Snowden made a really good start.
I don’t know what is scarier: what disaster he is or the fact that he thinks he is great.
