They see part of Jesus’ message as the socialist gospel - give all your money to the poor, widows, orphans, etc. It was more necessary of the early church to liquidate their resources so the ministers could be sent to spread the gospel and build new churches. Spending on the needy was so they would listen to the good news and be saved. The libs want to confiscate the money of others to spend on the poor as a means of controlling both.
