Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes is being interviewed by Neil Cavuto at this hour in California at a 21st Century Fox investors conference.
The first question Cavuto asked was about the rumor, first reported on Drudge Report, that Megyn Kelly will me moving into the 9pmET timeslot this Fall. Generally, I dont confirm or deny any rumors, and that is a rumor at the moment, said Ailes, adding all of our stars will be back.
As for Hannity, who currently hosts the 9pm hour, Ailes said, Hannity is a brand that many of our viewers love and want to see, and, as you know, is one of the nicest guys in the building.
Ailes did say hes been having conversations with Shepard Smith about a new way to deliver news. This could mean a lot of things, including that Smiths 7pm timeslot is up for grabs.

Send Shepard Smith packing.

I’m I allowed to second that motion?
What a waste of time and bandwidth this guy is. Good news if he is gone from the 7:00 slot.
I think Greg Gutfeld does an awesome job when he subs for BOR
Holding up signs from outside the window works for me.

Ailes is as slippery as Bill Clinton.
“I like Kelly, but she’ pretty much a lefty when it comes to social issues..”
She is the perfect vehicle to deliver the GOP elitist message which is why they are moving her to more primary spot. IMO.
How about if Schlepper simply types up his smart-@$$ commentary, wads it up, and "delivers" it into the garbage.
Thank you very much.
He’s truly insufferable.
I’ll wager he has few, if any, fans here.
Very true. I would like to see Mark Steyn try it as well.
I really like Greg Gutfeld - not sure why but I do.
Oh, fudge!
I really hope Hannity is moved to a slot well away from my normal viewing hours. He isn’t as bad an interviewer as O’Reilly, but he’s close. Both of them are always talking over their guests and inserting their own opinions instead of eliciting the usually far more interesting opinions of their guests.
Both are very rude, at least on air, and I wouldn’t miss either of them (Hannity or O’Reilly) if they were to be moved to less conspicuous time slots. I also don’t think either one of them does the conservative cause much good, again because of their rude behavior on air and their inability to treat their guests with respect. (Both of them would deny this, of course, but onscreen it’s quite obvious, especially in the case of O’Reilly.)
Relegate Shep to covering car chases on Twitter only.
I fear he might start delivering it in drag...lol. Might be must see TV though...for at least the first day...lol.
They don’t want him back.
Thanks, that creeps me out every time I see it!
Really!! He can be the broadcaster for the Black Bears.
That’s the one I couldn’t find.
I could see Shep both keeping his afternoon show and then making only a cameo news appearance or two in the evening. He seems to get along with Megyn pretty well, so maybe a news summary at the top of her hour, followed by a topical news brief leading into her second half hour.
I don’t see them bumping BOR when he’s at the top of the ratings, but having Laura cohost with the Obnoxious One could be an upgrade at least at the 8:00 hour.
Makes sense to me for Hannity to move his show to 7 and get home to his family at a decent hour.
