A “ministering” angel, without a doubt. Yes, the appearance of such an angel at such times is miraculous.
I had a similar type encounter about thirty years ago. Not due to an accident, but rather a dispute with a customer in a computer store I was working in. Later that evening, another man came into the store looking for advice and asked several good questions, that I was able to answer.
Difficult to describe, but while I was talking to this man, I had a feeling that even though he was a total stranger, he was a person you could trust completely. The man thanked me for my help, and walked out the front door. He didn’t get into a car, but walked around the corner of the store and headed down an alley. The alley was probably about 150 feet in length, with the only way out at the other end.
I waited a few moments, then walked out the door myself and looked around the corner down the alley. The man was gone. There was no way he could have walked down that alley in the time before I got there. Call me crazy, but I believe that person was a guardian angel sent to give me support and encouragement at a time when I really needed it.
If that priest is smart, he won’t come forward.
“What was the miracle?”
I believe it was the priest’s prayer that told her to be calm and she became calm and that slowed down her loss of blood internally and externally. Once the pressure of the metal was off those places as happened not long after the prayer, she would have started bleeding even more. She did not bleed out and to me (I was an EMT), that is a miracle after an hour of broken bones and bleeding. She had broken ribs and the ends of those rib bones will tear into whatever is around them including the lungs which is common. This was a miracle by a disappearing angel when the danger was over for her.

Long story short: during a followup visit a week later, I inquired with the staff in attempt to locate Ray. Gave them full description and bio. Nobody there had ever heard of him, nor seen anybody that fit his description. As I turned to leave, I saw Ray at a distance down the hallway. He was peering at a medical chart on a clipboard in his hands and had a pencil on his ear as he walked across a hallway towards a room. He stopped as if suddenly remembering something. Peering over the top of his reading glasses, he turned to me and smiled. Then, entered the room, closing the door behind him. I immediately followed. I opened the door and found nothing but a darkened room with nothing but an examination table alongside a chair at a small desk, with a tiny reading lamp illuminating a clipboard and pencil. Thank you, "Ray." Thanks.
For every miracle, there will always be elements of doubt. The article has a number of photos of the accident, but none of the mysterious priest. The priest claimed their tools would work, but they ended up using a new set of tools that someone else brought. Did the priest say their current tools would now work or that the next time they attempted to free her it would now work?
Seems like in most miraculous cases, it is only important for the recipient to understand where the help came from.
Sunday was the feast of St. John Maria Vianney, the patron of parish priests. Who was known for his outstanding service to his flock and was even seen in more than one place at a time. He is always depicted as having flowing silver hair.

So what else is new?
You give the impression that folks shouldn’t question things. If you’re that type of individual, it just depends upon who gets to you first. You’d make a great Christian, Buddhist, or Muslim and then close your mind off to any evidence that contradicts what ever that belief is. By reason and study of the evidence, you will come to know the real truth. So will thinking people all around the world.
There’s a considerable literature which cites examples and contends that visitations from angels who have temporarily taken human form are not uncommon in times of stress, peril, and/or fear.
I tend to believe it, although, never having had such an encounter, I can’t speak from experience.
