Two British teenagers who were volunteering at a school were the victims of an acid attack on the Indian Ocean island of Zanzibar. The police described the attack as "an isolated incident" and refused to link it to tension between majority Muslims and Christians on the island.

I hate to say it but these girls were really stupid, first they were stupid enough to go to a Muslim country and secondly they were dumb by not conforming to the dress standards of the Muslim country that they were living in (aka burka). Especially after the Obama “Arab Spring” which has encouraged the Muslim Radicals to increase their activities. This is kind of like a white boy taking a midnight walk through South Central LA and expecting nothing bad to happen to him.

Nonsense. A South African friend of mine was traveling by pleasure boat up through the Mozambique Channel when the men decided to go fishing several years ago. The gals wanted to explore the beaches of Zanzibar during that time.
Within an hour some Muzzie teenage thugs showed up on the beach and started throwing rocks at the three women. One of the gals was hit in the head causing serious problems. Just as things were looking very dire for the women, an older fisherman came along, chased the little pukes away and helped the wounded woman and stayed with them until their husbands arrived.
Isolated incident my ass. Later we looked at the Zanzibar tourist website, (now removed), and the website explicitly warns about visiting the Muzzie paradise showing wealth, taking pictures of residents, not to buy shells from the poor merchants and do not wear bikini’s on the beach. Zanzibar knows they are unstable Muzzie bastards.

I’m really tired of this blame the victim garbage, people get their panties in a bunch when it’s a couple of cute young girls that pay for doing something stupid but when it’s some guy they laugh and bring out the Darwin awards. Facei t, they were dumb to be in place that is bubbling over in violence right now and not doing anything to maintain a low profile or getting the hell out. Kind of like being shocked when a soldier gets shot in a war zone, it happens and if you want to minimize bad things happening to you try to use your brain.
If you want to play football using the busy interstate as your playing field, expect to be hit by a car or truck.
To think otherwise is just plain crazy.

don't these charities keep an eye on the 'increasing tensions' and make note of it for the volunteers?
Nonsensical Reuters euphamisms "rising tensions", "clashes" . . .who is clashing with whom? Simply remaining on the island as a Christian is considered 'clashing' with Islam.
