It seems some liberals are having a collective meltdown over an online conservative protest called "Facebook Blackout."
Facebook has established a pattern of silencing Conservative posters and pages so, on August 24 and 25th, we are going to grant them their wish. Silence from out side.
Any advertising dollars that they lose will be their lesson.

Why would a conservative enable leftwing Facebook, anyway? Eff them, and the progressives they rode in on.

Facebook is a godsend when doing background checks. You get to see how much of an idiot they are and how loose their lips are. Many job applicants wonder wjy they can’t get a job when they show revealing tattoos, post pictures of themselves at parties with drug paraphenalia lying clearly in the background, or “friends” that are complete freaks, among “likes” of subjects that further show how morally bankrupt they are, etc...
Peronally I hope the libs, commies, progressives keep using FB. It makes my job much easier...: > )

"Who uses Facebook, twitter, or social media ?"
Millions of people, that's who. I feel that this idea to disengage from social media outlets, like FB and Twitter works against Conservative and Republicans. Social media is one of the major reasons that the print media is dollapsing as millions now capture thie information they want, including news and opinion, via computers, tablets, and phones, instantly and constantly. For Conservatives and Republicans NOT to use social media effectively and constantly is stupid.

Do you know twitter investors support liberals like Boxer and Nobama? I like to like posts, pictures, etc. I get great recipes from friends and relatives, too. I hate twitter and never use it. I do not play games, do not poke, etc. I have my own games.

true...so why make it easier for them? Not a smart thing to do...plaster your details all over the web knowing what we are up against....yes?

Can’t drop something that was never picked up in the first place. We’ve refused to ever have anything to do with Facebook, except to short sell its stock.
We certainly will not advertise on Facebook, so advertisers are wasting their money by advertising there so far as we are concerned. This is especially true with those companies who have stupidly used Facebook as their primary or sole means of establishing a Web presence and interactions with customers. Instead, we go to a competitor when we encounter a search engine result pointing us to a Facebook page to which we have no access because we are not members of Facebook.

But I will close up for 24-25 August.I'm on exactly the same page but I'm wondering if a two-day break might become permanent for me.

For Conservatives and Republicans NOT to use social media effectively and constantly is stupid. The libs have created their own closed-circuit for social media, and they pass around some pretty horrific crap on it. What conservatives should do is set up a website where specific Facebook graphics and stories are refuted so that conservative FB users can easily find those refutations and link to them on Facebook.

I post Conservative and anti Obama messages all the time and I’ve never been hassled. If I was I would just sign up under a new name and start again. Use Their tactics against them. Learn to play their game but don’t give up and walk away from the one of the largest social media voices on the planet. People need to see there is an alternative to the Liberal agenda, they need to see it daily, hourly and minute by minute the way they are fed Liberal filth now.

Never used FB and talked with my wife about it about a year ago. It took her about 2 weeks to make up her mind to shut her account down.
Now the only people I know that use it are “low information voters” that do not have a real life. Were born dumb and have not grown up to adulthood.
They spend most of their waking day with FB plugged into their spinal column controlling their every move, “I’m going to make #2 now, tell you when I get back.”

I set up a Facebook account a few years ago at the request of my daughters, so I would be more "in touch" with them. But since then, I think I've accessed my own page less than five times, and I'd need to look up my password to do it again. Meanwhile, among my daughters and their friends, there have been several fractured relationships based on things posted to Facebook in anger. So I have no personal interest in Facebook, and little knowledge of it.
Apart from the recent "Kill Zimmerman" episode on Facebook, I'm not aware of Facebook being hostile to conservatives. Can someone give some background?
