During a speech and press conference today, pro-abortion Texas lawmaker Wendy Davis said she would consider running for governor. The abortion activist also pulled a page from Nancy Pelosi’s playbook by calling defending late-term abortions “sacred ground.”
“I’ll seek common ground – we all must – but sometimes you have to take a stand on sacred ground,” Davis said during her press conference — referring to her filibuster to stop a bill to ban abortions after five months.
Reporters asked Davis if she supported any limits on abortions and she responded that she did not — saying she supports current federal law.
Davis has been the subject of considerable speculation as to whether she would run for the Democratic nomination for governor and take on likely Republican nominee Gregg Abbott, a pro-life advocate who is currently the state attorney general.
“I can say with certainly that I will run for one of two offices: my state sen seat or the governor,” she said at the press conference.
Despite the fact that unborn children have no voice, Davis talked about finding hers.
. @WendyDavisTexas: Discovering you have a voice is a powerful feeling. I know because I remember when I discovered my own.

During the press conference, pro-life advocates challenged Davis on Twitter:
Davis: “Every Texan deserves a voice… future belongs to all” Except 5 month old babies in the womb? #npclunch Susan B Anthony List (@SBAList) August 5, 2013
Shorter Wendy Davis: Ill use pro-family and pro-woman platitudes to cover up my support for abortion at six months or more. #NPClunch Steven Ertelt (@StevenErtelt) August 5, 2013
#npclunch Wendy Davis wants common ground. Hard to get more common ground than 20 wk #abortion limit supported by maj of Americans #prolife

Simple question: Does Wendy Davis support ANY limit to abortion — if not at 20 weeks — up to the moment of birth? #npclunch

Like @NancyPelosi Wendy Davis considers late term abortion “sacred ground.” #abortion #npclunch Mary Powers (@mary_e_powers) August 5, 2013
Wendy wants “common ground,” what about limiting #abortion in the SIXTH month? mallory quigley (@mallorytq) August 5, 2013
.@WendyDavisTexas claims to be a voice for the people, I guess just except for voiceless unborn people. #npclunch

Leftists keep using that word.
I don’t think it means what they think it means.
Something not quite right about making the killing of the unborn ones life work.
Supposedly, Texas has one more election which could be won by a Republican.
Never interrupt your enemies when they are defeating themselves.

May run for governor
May definitely not win
It’s a good job too, since she would be likely to lose her seat next time anyway.
Sacred ground.
Texans didn’t know who she was a month ago
Quinn is right. Abortion is a sacrament in the Feminist Church.
Wendy Davis is a pretty woman on the outside, but not so pretty where it counts.
Yup, just like that Sandra Fluke chick.
“Women’s Health Issues” have made many baby murderers into big stars.
This vile woman is emblamatic of the Democratic Party. It is evil. There really is little or no hope for America’s future if the majority of voters share these decadent values.
Sure, sacred to the deity known in Old Testament accounts as Moloch (the one where parents would bring their children to be thrown alive into the fire as human sacrifice), a clear antecedent to today’s human sacrifice of children in abortion).
Nice one!
Thankfully, Texans got a good, diabolical look at Wendy’s minions last month - and she has a snowball’s chance in Hell of getting elected governor.
In ancient jewish lore there was a wife of Satan who ate children.... she was the Lilith.
This is where the “Lilith Fair” got its name.
There’s a special place in hell for people like her.
"Sacred Ground" indeed!
Sacred sounds like a fitting word to use.One must wonder if this child, had he/she lived, would have become Billy or Mary Davis.
Wendy is satan’s pawn - calling defending late-term abortions sacred ground. He does have his own kingdom which leads to eternal damnation. And you have no voice there, Wendy.
