Thought: Anybody heard J Jackson recently accusing Florida of "Apartheid?" Of course, we must make allowances for Jackson, as he has obviously seen better days, but -- as a general rule -- when Liberals start accusing the Right of doing something (be it "voter suppression," "discrimination," or whatever), VERY OFTEN they are simply tipping their hand as to what they are actually doing -- just trying to cover it up by projecting their actions on their political enemies.
Well, here we are: Exhibit "A." If there is any kind of Apartheid in Florida or in any other part of this country, it occurs most obviously in Apartheid speech codes.
Apartheid Speech Code:
African-Americans (and other minorities, on occasion) may use the following words indiscriminately: "N-word," "Niggah," or "Nigger."
White Americans may not use -- even in privacy any of these words at any time or for any reason. Violation of this code has no statute of limitations. (Think Paula Deen.) Moreover, violation of this code carries with it the penalty of having repeatedly to apologize and self-humiliate -- in a public manner -- for an unspecified period. Additionally, financial penalties will likely attach, to include cancellation of contracts, to include book deals, TV shows, and the like. There are no exceptions to this rule, other than the case of some elected white Democrat politicians (but only on a case-by-case basis).
My daughter had the same problem trying to explain this to a foreign exchange kid at her college.
I can’t believe I’m agreeing with Deion Sanders, an FSU grad and a Cowboy.
I agree the widespread use in certain circles is problematic. At the same time, did most of our families teach us that our manners should be lowered based on what other people do. I am always so surprised that so many Freepers are so opposed to traditional manners and culture and want to destroy it as much as the left. It doesn’t seem very conservative.
By the way, stop continuing the myth that Paula Deen hadn’t used that word in 30 years. She was using it in front of her white employees up to the present day.

It’s a strange, sick country we are in today. Cooper, says a word, a single word, and his career is in danger, and he’s been sent of to “sensitivity training”, otherwise known as a re-education camp.
I gave this issue a passing thought over the weekend, and this is what I came up with.
The c word is a universally unacceptable word. Saying the c word will get you in trouble in most social settings. It can be said, but the place and time has to be just right for the person saying it to survive without physical or social harm. But, no one is given a pass for the c word. Women don’t call each other that. You don’t hear it in songs, (maybe rap, but not commonly).
The n word on the other hand, is used by many. Blacks throw it around freely, and alter the spelling, as if making it slang makes it better. Blacks use it as a greeting, a way to show kinship, and in anger as a slur. Yet, let one poor white kid say it, and the media goes ape sh** trying to persecute another white racist.
It’s bullcrap, and it’s past time for whites to stand their ground. Call me a racist? I don’t give a rat’s a**. I detest the black urban culture which produces stupid n******.
The word is a trap, thrown defiantly at Whitey. If Whitey takes the trap, Whitey is branded a racist and must quit his job and bow down in abject submission and ask for forgiveness, which is never given.
Thank you, sir. Nicely played.
Before writing this post and solely for this purpose, I counted 443 English words that start with an ‘N’ in my CAMBRIDGE Dictionary of American English. So which of the 443 ‘N’ words are we talking about? I’m so confused...
I used to hate Deion, brash and thuggish-like. And while I’m sure he still has his own share of warts, he at least tried to turn his life around and is a far cry from how I would have expected him to turn out.
A Nole standing up for a Gator, well now I’ve seen everything.

Acknowledged Authority on Afroamerican Affairs RACHEL JEANTEL said (under oath, yet!) that white people (a.k.a. Creepy Azz Crackas) can call persons of color NIGGA. Just not the other one that ends in R.
Hey, I’m goin’ with it; it’s a start.
If one uses the word and ends it with "er" then let the hatred flow. Thou hast committed an indefensible act against a protected class.
Good for Deion Sanders. He’s more honest and smarter than 0prah Winfrey.
Exactly right.....
