On Saturday, during the pre-Hall of Fame induction show on the NFL Network, Deion Sanders took time to address the media feeding frenzy surrounding Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper's use of the N-word. In so doing, he pulled no punches in saying he is bothered that "African Americans can say the N-word to one another"--that they do so in the locker room and in rap songs--yet they jump all over "a kid who made a mistake" in using the word.

I highly doubt that. Which brings me to a point, if someone like Kid Rock is singing a song it is not country by any definition. My definition of what is country music is a bit different that top 40 radio or Nashville’s elite sect.
In one episode Fred Sanford used it, in another episode, Aunt Esther used it...........

Before writing this post and solely for this purpose, I counted 443 English words that start with an ‘N’ in my CAMBRIDGE Dictionary of American English. So which of the 443 ‘N’ words are we talking about? I’m so confused...

I used to hate Deion, brash and thuggish-like. And while I’m sure he still has his own share of warts, he at least tried to turn his life around and is a far cry from how I would have expected him to turn out.

I don’t know that’s a fact. But personally, I don’t care if it is.
We have the right of free association. That means if someone is using offensive language I am free to NOT associate with them if I so choose. It also means that if someone is a bigot, that person is also free to NOT associate with those whom he is bigoted against.
Not you, me, the NAACP, the government or anyone else has the right to tell someone who they must like.
This country is obsessed with words while not giving a rat’s ass about most people’s *actions*.
And the final portion of my rant: I have had enough of the filthy, disgusting “in your face” foul mouthed hate being thrown at me every day by so called black leaders and their white liberal sycophants, including our half white President. They have absolutely no call to criticize any (white) person for so called offensive language based on the non stop slime erupting from their mouths. They are in a full court press to promote widespread racial violence and then make a federal case of some Savannah cracker’s language.
This is all just so sickeningly Orwellian.
The word is a trap, thrown defiantly at Whitey. If Whitey takes the trap, Whitey is branded a racist and must quit his job and bow down in abject submission and ask for forgiveness, which is never given.
So basically what you said and sometimes the “a” vs. “er” (but not always).
