Its official, the United States has a Ruling Class and it is no longer being hidden or denied. Obama and the Congress have just decided that they dont want to play by the same rules as the rest of us. Big surprise that the Office of Personnel Management, under pressure from Capitol Hill and Obama, has said that they will issue a ruling that states government can keep making contributions to the health care premiums of members of Congress and their aides. In other words, we the serfs will be paying for Congress and their staff to keep their Cadillac health plans and subsidies while we, the hard-working taxpayer lose ours or face enormous premium hikes.
Here is another example of how this administration and Congress randomly decide which laws they like and which ones they dont. For those of us paying attention we remember that Sen. Chuck Grassley, (R-Iowa) added a clause into the original text of the Affordable Care Act that said members of Congress and their aides MUST be covered by plans created by the law or offered through an exchange.
Before Obamacare, Congress and their staff were covered by a health care plan that was considered golden. This was being paid for by the taxpayers. Under Obamacare and Grassleys provision, Congress and staff would be subject to the exact same treatment as the rest of us. In other words, if government payments stopped, lawmakers and their aides would have been looking at thousands of dollars in additional premium payments. (Just like the rest of us.) Before Obamacare, the government contributed almost 75% to their premium payments.
When they finally got around to finding out what was in the bill, Capitol Hill started wringing their hands and hyperventilating. With Grassleys provision in there, that would mean that, gasp, they would have to live by the same rules as the rest of and they just could not let that happen.
All sorts of complaints were being made. For instance, staffers dont make enough money to pay those premiums; or they will look for more lucrative jobs in order to afford them. Really? How about the rest of the American people out there? Do you think that they can afford higher premiums on the part-time work that they now will be forced into because of employer cut-backs? The best line came from Nancy Pelosi who said that if Congress lost these Capitol Hill workers, a tremendous intellectual resource would be lost. You just have to shake your head in disbelief.
Congress is not the only one in the Ruling Class crying foul. Just last week, IRS Chief, Daniel Werfel stated in no uncertain terms that he wanted to keep his health care and didnt want any part of Obamacare. That also went for the rest of the IRS. The unions began making noise a few weeks ago and I will bet you dollars to donuts they will get their wishes granted by King Obama.
This just proves the hypocrisy of Washington and it is why the American people are at the breaking point. We did not elect these people to make up their own rules as they see fit; to change the laws to benefit them and not us. We also didnt elect the President to sign executive orders to get his way just because Congress didnt agree with him.
When will this madness stop? Just when you think they cant stick it to you again
.they do. How much will we take before its time for another revolution?

I believe one or two or a handful of states will secede from the self-proclaimed "progressive" oligarchy, followed by more in short order. We'll reassert our original Constitution and restore our lost constitutional republic.
These were the same rules applied by the nomenlkatura in the USSR.
Yeah, the “ruling class” live in Washington. The rest of us are the serfs.
Didn’t the Yankess take on the forces of George III to avert this situation?
Note that the Fourteenth Amendment does not prohibit CONGRESS from ignoring the equal protection clause.
Inner Party (rulers) as opposed to the happy masses of serfs (Outer Party, proletariat).
Seceession will be:
Arizona
New Mexico
Texas
Louisiana
Alabama
Mississippi
Florida
N/S Carolina
Georgia
Virginia fragments
W Virginia
Ohio fragments
Indiana
Illinois fragments
Pennsylvania fragments
Missouri
Kansas
Oklahoma
Nevada
Colorado fragments
Idaho
Montana
Wyoming
N/S Dakota
Iowa
Michigan
Still, there is surely a great deal of hypocrisy attendant to the view that ObamaCare is good enough for the masses--just not good enough for government employees...
One for the Elite - no rules
Another for the Producers - obey us, follow the rules ( they make the rules up as they go) and work or you don't eat
Another for the Takers - vote to keep us in power and be the muscle to intimidate the Producers to stay in their place. In return you get free things, all the drugs, booze and cable TV you want and very few rules.
Welcome to the new Ruling Coalition of Elites and Underclass Obama and the Democrats are manufacturing.
Notice how the Labor Unions Phone calls don't get returned now that Obama has won re election and how Trumpka is re tooling the AFL/CIO to be a Union of Welfare recipients and not workers?
The new dynamic in American Politics is not Liberal vs Conservative or Blue Donkey Vs Red Elephant - it's Makers vs Takers, Producers vs Parasites and Self Reliance and responsibility vs Dependence and irresponsibility
The Democrats used to profess to be for the working guy, but now fewer and fewer of the constituencies of the Democrat Party wants to actually work or has any intention to do anything that looks like real work.
America no longer has the rule of law. Oh. We have plenty of laws, but they’re selectively enforced. I’m not surprised. Our country’s problems are moral ones. Millions upon millions of Americans are in open rebellion against God. What makes anyone think rebels have any respect whatsoever for law? They don’t.
America’s success is largely due to the moral behavior of its citizens. That moral behavior was expressed in laws that were generally followed. Take away the morality and rule of law and we’re living in a third world country.
If you want to get something done in most countries, you pay off the right people and you can do what you want. That’s also why most countries are economic wrecks. Who wants to build a business if someone else is going to come in and use government to steal your profits or regulate you out of existence?
I know who the true rebels are, and they’re running our government.
I will restate my rant:
When I lose my policy, I will not sign up for the exchanges. When they send the fine, I will not pay it. Eventually, they MUST issue a warrant to arrest me for not paying the fines and when they do, I will ignore its command. Eventually, they will have to act to enforce that warrant and then they will knock on my door, when they do I will not answer it. Eventually, they will be forced to kick the door in and when they do they will be met with resistance and they will pay a price.
Of course, I know that I will pay the ultimate price, but they must be willing to shoot me dead in order to mandate their health insurance utopia. It is that way with every one of their desires, but this one is my bright line.
The neo-aristocracy want to import multi-millions of serfs to keep serf wages low and expectations of any damned middle class remaining in the nation very low.
Political or financial power buys entry into the neo-aristocracy. In consolidating their in-group by making it nearly impossible for others to rise to it, a safe prediction might be that they would be a classic aristocracy in a few more generations.
This realization generates an interesting question: If they are rebelling against the law [the Constitution], then does the law protect them*?
* Defacto Officer doctrine, legal artifices protecting their own (link), etc.
Not quite, as I understand it Obamacare gives government the ability to go into your bank-account and directly take the monies.
America gets a caste system
Gee, did they not just proclaim that for it to work, everyone had to be on it ?
I think this rule would not survive a supreme court challenge as it clearly circumvents the law. Not to mention exemptions violate equal treatment under the law
