Takes “the privileges of citizenship” or “the rights of the accused” to a whole new level.

The privilege isn't citizenship or, I would argue the accused [remember Zimmerman?]. So then, that leaves us with very little to work on: military? No, his actions, aside from being terrorism, are capital and we have people who weren't involved in obvious murder receive poor treatment [remember Murtha's Marine incident?]. No, what this leaves us with is really only one thing: he is a member of a protected religion.

I was being facetious. Hasan is a Muslim, one of the new ubermenschen, and not a citizen. He gets "special" treatment. Citizens don't get spit.
