LOL, did I do that again?
I second that!
Oh yeah! LOL
It’s been a while since I’ve been to the land side of DFW. I seem to remember that although they upgrade the tram, the access roads that feed the terminals are poorly designed. Way to narrow and like driving in a maze.
You have a tough job. I’ve always a appreciated the van drivers that have to put up with rude passengers and traffic on those hot, Texas days. I hop you got a good tip for trying to move things along.
I have a story about the fuelers at GA (14 yrs ago) , but I won’t write it because just thinking about it still get me really P.O.d.

I hear he wants to be POTUS.
Is this why white people are called 'honkies'?
I will on Monday morning, Dean Ahmed has to go, as he calls the cops, for his employees shortcomings.
The Assistant Principal rulz!
DallasBiff, I think the complements in post 44 are to you rather than me.
PhiloBedo - once you get used to them, the loops inside the airport aren’t the problem. They’ve re-done the roads around the north entrance, and put up signs that will send you the wrong way if you take them literally. And now they are tearing up the airport on the south side. And finally, they’ve torn up the ramps around Terminal A to run the light rail line into the airport.
They replaced the looping trams outside security with a fairly decent rail system at roof level inside security - great if you are changing planes, but not much use to locals. And since you will generally come back to a different terminal than you left from, and there aren’t good links outside security, terminal parking doesn’t make any sense at all if you check baggage.
I recently wrote virtually all of the Governors, citing their own State constitution on how they could block the amnesty bill going through. [Political dirty tricks
, though absolutely legal and legitimate.] No response to my letter at all form TX [granted, he may not personally read any letters]; if he were POTUS material, he'd at least consider it.
Would that make one ‘horney’?
There’s the ruling class and there’s their enforcement class.
They all need to be laid off and find traditional, productive work.
Glad I wasnt there. I’d have probably gone to jail for silencing the horn. As if the Texas heat isn’t enough, stuck in the toll lane with some fool blowing his horn? I agree with a previous poster. Highly doubtful you are a native. You are still breathing at an age old enough to post on FR
He’s going to find an excuse to fire you, you know. In about 22 months.
I don’t work at DFW on a daily basis but my job involves visiting it on a weekly basis to check on the operation.
The new lanes are narrow but I drive a 1/2 pickup through them all of the time without any trouble so far but you better be watching what you’re doing. Once they are converted to auto-toll I think things should speed up considerably.
Sorry for your trouble and I’ve experience some long waits leaving the South side before as well. Extended waits are often due to someone who has neither cash nor card to pay the toll as they have to fill out paperwork, a promise to pay, etc. before they’ll be allowed through. My own boss has had to do this on multiple occasions of forgetting his wallet.
“You must not be native Texan. Honking down here get you in a heap of trouble.”
Agree 100%. We don’t honk the horn here. it’s not polite. It’s akin to sending someone the physical “finger.” I’ve visited NYC and people will lay on the horn for anything up there. I may get mad at a long wait but I don’t use the horn.
I went through the gate, pulled over to the side of the interstate, and went inside the office to complain. As I made my complaint to a so-called manager inside, another employee fired off the same smarta** line about getting started sooner (typical jacka** civil service mentality). Realizing nothing was going to get done, I asked for a complaint form and went back to my truck. As I was pulling back onto I-64, I saw a state trooper pulling up to the office. For me, no doubt. Being as I had my M1911 in the truck with me, it was a damn good thing I left when I did.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Such is life.
I honk at every dildo sitting at a green light playing with their damn phone.
I can be ten cars back and I'll honk at these buttholes.
