Well, most of the Catholic and Mormon forefathers came to that land west of the front range and east of the Casades and Sierra Nevada long ago and had to deal with Indian tribes.

HMMMmmm...

The gruesome be headings of some 40 Ute corpses in 1850, heads stacked in boxes,
and hung by their long hair from the eves of buildings at Fort Utah,
has long been ignored, “You didn’t see the Indians beheading the Mormons.”

-- Historian Robert Carter

This does sound very MUCH like a MUSLIM tactic!

There were atrocities on both sides, no doubts. It was an abject clash of cultures (and I am talking European vs. Native Indian) which could not co-exist because of the abject differences in world view, property ownership, etc., etc.

Beheadings have gone on a long time Elsie, and it is not relegated to Muslims, French, etc., etc.

The bottom line is, the Catholic and Mormon pioneers that settled the intermountain west were hardy people who were used to opposition and affliction, and they dealt with it and won out.

I expect their descendants will do the same with these Islamic Jihadists.
