You forgot that of the 13 % of the U.S. population ,
about half of them are female
so that would make it 7 % of the U.S. population , or
approximately 75 % of the crimes !
( My math stinks and I use my fingers, so the stats might be wrong ?)

Actually, it’s less than 13% as young black males account for less then 7% of the US Population, yet they commit over 50% of violent crimes.
