The former information technology director for State Attorney Angela Corey is suing for wrongful termination.
Ben Kruidbos sued Coreys office Thursday saying he was illegally fired in June after he testified that prosecutors did not turn over all information to George Zimmermans defense team in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
He is asking for $5 million or more in damages and his job back.

“I don’t think there was that much damage done to him and it’s taxpayer’s money anyway.”
How about doing something on principle? Isn’t it wrong that the evildoer(s) retained employment and the noble one was persecuted? Have you ever been wrongfully accused, or punished when you were in the right? His reputation and career were impacted/damaged heavily. Decent taxpayers would rather provide compensation for the wrongfully accused than foot the bill for Obamaphones, Lois Lerner’s continuing salary, etc.
I thought Pam Bondi was at the center of all this. She’s the AG for Florida. Rick Scott’s hands weren’t involved in this except maybe to make a recommendation to Bondi, but Scott’s been firmly on the side of gun owners in this state since the beginning.
Didn’t she just pad her and BDRL’s pensions a few months ago to the tune of something like 380,000?
Seems like a great place to take a chunk of it from.
That's one vote I wish I had never made...
Bondi has been a huge disappointment...
As Florida AG she should have put a stop to this insanity a long time ago...instead she helped it along....
I contacted Gov Scott on the 17th July, asking why he has not fired Cory, given her numerous demonstrations of incompetence.
His office acknowledged receipt of contact immediately, but as of today, I have not heard from him or his office, guess they are still trying to put together a form letter response.
Oh I can only imagine how the deposition of AC is going to be like...
So Mizzzzzzzzzzzz Corey how often does your office suppress or destroy evidence?
It was pretty clear from the start that she couldn’t be trusted. She is all about headlines and polls. I just hope this debacle will be the end of her illustrious career. FL doesn’t need another Crist...
Yes and the you scratch my back I’ll scratch yours mentality
might end.
But I doubt it will happen.
Gov. employees are entitled, everyone else is stupid. Got it?
One elected term and a pension for life.
Ideally, you’re right, if she is just a bad apple who put one over on her otherwise fair and just bosses. Even then, if her bosses didn’t weed someone like her out, why shouldn’t they be held accountable? The people who elected them, the same ones who pay for it all, should lose out monetarily! Next time they (we) will know to elect more competent people.
