WASHINGTON (AP) The United States is "extremely disappointed" in Russia's decision to grant asylum to National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden, the White House said Thursday.
In its first public response to Russia's move in defiance of U.S. wishes, the Obama administration said it was not a positive development for U.S.-Russia relations and said that it undermined Russia's record of law enforcement cooperation with the U.S. The White House added that it is re-evaluating whether President Barack Obama should attend an upcoming summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

I’m sure the feeling is mutual.
>>Putins best strategy might be to just wait.
Of course. That was our best strategy during the collapse of the Soviet government too. But, there were still some anxious moments as submarine and missile bases stopped paying and feeding the people who had the keys to the bunkers and silos.
Putin goes fishing and laughs at odumbo.
Who ever thought I would respect the leader of Russia more than the president of the U.S. Pathetic!
You know what they would say about that picture if he were holding a sucker.
To prevent U.S.-Russian relations from deteriorating any further, why doesn’t Obama send his trusted team of diplomatic experts, John McCain and Lindsey Graham, to Moscow to fix everything, just as he’s sending them to Egypt to fix that country’s problems?
Obama is at a major disadvantage when dealing with someone like Vladimir Putin, since Obama’s major ‘’opponents’’ during his presidency have been almost exclusively individuals of such weakness and foolishness, i.e., Republicans, from John Boehner to Mitch McConnell to John McCain, that he has never had to face anyone like Vladimir Putin, someone strong, intelligent, and aggressively interested in getting his way.
Obama should probably stay as far away as possible from the Russians and their superior leader during the remainder of his presidency.
Thanks to my Orthodox Christian Brothers in Russia!!!!
YES to Snowden, YES to Americans’ right to be free from surveillance, NO to “gays”, and NO to obama!!!!
Hey, the Russians have a better government than we do right now.
The temporary asylum for him might just be to allow ease of application for permanent asylum in a place of his choice, and ease his transit there. If Putin really want to tell the current occupant of our White House to shove it, he’d have granted the whistle-blower permanent asylum, which might happen yet if the Kenyan clown-show keeps pushing it.
your stupid source claims that a 21 km pike would have sunk to the bottom of the lake.
Perhaps comrade obama should tread lightly with Putin lest someday he find himelf in Snowden's shoes.
The right picture would be like this:
