So I guess going to a New York McDonalds isnt a good idea right now.
Videographer and conservative blogger Adam Sharp of SharpElbows.net attended one such demonstration and interviewed an SEIU member, easily identifiable as such by his purple shirt.
When asked whether the union member supported the $15 per hour wage increase the McDonalds workers were demanding, he admitted, Im not sure.
He also said he was there to show his support for the workers rather than the company and expressed a fear that, if theyre [the McDonalds employees] pissed off, they could be doing something to that food.
So thats your main concern, is that if they dont get what they want, they might contaminate the food?
The SEIU member shrugged his shoulders and said, I dont know.
Video at the link.
Im not one who hates on McDonalds. You go there, you get what you want at a reasonable price and the product is consistent from coast to coast. Overseas, McDonalds

Every time I go to Tucson I eat at the one where the idiot harassed the girl in the drive through. And I make a point of letting them know I'm happy to eat there and sure happy that guy got what he deserved.
And the little round, deep fried “honey rolls”!
I haven’t thought about Griff’s in years. There used o be one on the street we all went to cruise on the weekends when I was in hs. Good to know one still is around.
I moved out of the metroplex years ago, but still have to make occasional forays. I may have to find Griff’s.
If the public is worried about employees spitting in the food,(or worse) they have a very very large problem. Mass publicized firings would be the only way to combat it.
Peanut oil ruined fried food. Chik-Filet sandwiches are good but were better deep fat fried. All fries are better fried in fat. That’s why the wife and I eat at home if we’re in town.
Whether spoken or not, I knew this was on the agenda the moment they talked strike.
There’s that, plus the direction this is going, at some point “What’s next” needs to be surprise.
The managers are on top of everything and I'm thinking the chances of someone sabotaging our order are slim to none.
Nice restaurant you have here. Be a shame if anything happened to it.
One contamination episode and that particular McDonald’s goes down the proverbial toilet.
Guess these union guys think they’re more popular than they are or they have the worst PR person known to man...
If the food industry’s smart they’ll dump unions that threaten to poison children. Period. It’s evil.
So, once you owned this labor union, what would you be able to do with it?
That’s really good thinking from the pin-heads at SEIU. Do something to scare away your customers. Where do these “minimum-wage” employees think they will be working when the burger joint loses business????? I’d say fire them all. Hire new people who will work and be glad they have a job.
It should be noted as a threat. Should cases pop up he should be prosecuted. I know Holder will go after him to hand him some more money to breed more terror. This whole damn thing is staged to cause unrest and class envy. Plays right into their plan.
It’s calculated to make people afraid they might be poisoned. Arguably an act of terrorism.
you have no concept of how a business is run. A CEO makes huge dollars because VERY few people have the ability to operate a multimillion dollar business.A moron can cook a hamburger and is paid accordingly. If he doesn't like the job, get the hell out of the way and a dozen others will be there to take his place....the law of supply and demand prevails in every business....go to school, EARN your masters, doctorate or MBA....you'll get a pretty good job.....drop out of high school, be cool and hang on the streets, father or mother a couple of bastard children and perhaps you'll have a hard time of life.DON'T BLAME THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE IT BECAUSE YOU DON'T make it.
Yep. But NSA is not monitoring SEIU.
You want to fire the owner?
Huh,.................. let me guess, drinking and posting?
We only get pizza from Papa Murphy’s. Before I had one I thought it was a crazy idea, bring a pizza home and bake it yourself? The places are always clean, the workers efficient and fast, you see your pizza being made, and above all, they are delicious!
