WASHINGTON — Despite the Republican strategy of passing piecemeal immigration reform, Sen. John McCain predicted today that comprehensive legislation can pass the GOP-controlled House.
“I think this fall is very important,” McCain said at a forum hosted by AFL-CIO and the Economic Policy Institute.
“Let’s say we enact it, comprehensive immigration reform — I don’t think it gains a single Hispanic voter, but what it does, it puts us on a playing field where we can compete for the Hispanic voter,” McCain told PBS’ Gwen Ifill. “If we don’t do that, frankly, I don’t see — I see further polarization of the Hispanic voter and the demographics are clear that the Republican Party cannot win a national election. That’s just a fact.”
Rep. Xavier Becerra, D-Calif., agreed with McCain.

It would be great if someone in Congress, a Senator, or a Rep, would state unequivocally and publicly for the record the reason why McCain lost the Presidential election:
1. He was a bad candidate who ran a miserable campaign.
2. He gave an absolutely miserable speech at the convention. A piss poor speech. Embarrassing really.
3. He campaigned on a socialist agenda.

I am so sick of this crap. The reason we lost 2012 Presidential election is because the stupid Republicans put up Romney who is left of Obama. Who wants a liberal Republican as President? Most white people who have principles did not vote for Romney!!!!! If you put up a decent conservative (like Bachmann and Santorum) you will see those very people vote in the Presidential election and not leave it blank and vote only for Senate and House and local races.
