Most of the articles including AP keep burying the lede.
Manning was convicted of five espionage counts, five theft charges, a computer fraud charge and other military infractions.
Is sending a gay guy to a mens prison considered punishment? “Yoo hoo! Jackpot!”
Damn, I was hoping they would march his queer ass out at dawn and stand him up against a post ....ask him for any final words and put out his miserable life....
Reuters Blog: “Maximum sentences on other charges for which Manning found guilty add up to more than 100 years in prison. Sentencing begins tomorrow at 9:30am ET.”
Sloppy reporting. He was convicted of violating certain sections of the “Espionage Act”, but not convicted of espionage.

As I’ve written before, the Field Grade Officer Corps has gone the way of the Generals and Admirals.
Wait till we have to fight a war with these bozos in the lead.
He’ll get the max [128 years] - the military has to [correctly] make an example of him.
No president [even Obama] will pardon him - but sentence might be commuted after he serves 20 years.
Not seeong what the big deal is. He released a bunch of files that embarrassed a bunch of bureaucrats and politicians like hillary clinton. Yawn.

Manning found not guilty of aiding Conservatives.
It still amazes me that Manning was ever able to get into the position to leak classified info to begin with. Everything I’ve read about the guy and his time in the service prior to the leaks indicates Manning was a basket case from minute one, too ate-up in the head to be trusted with anything. He apparently was even nearly discharged during basic training.
How is Manning different than Snowden? If it because Manning is gay? They are both traitors.
Snowden had a chance to be a whistleblower, instead he fled to commie countries and chose to become an agent of the enemy.
