Not because he’s really pro-life, but because he thinks the states should decide rather than the Supreme Court. Which is pro-choice because most states go that way.
Same for homosexual marriage. He’s for it, but thinks the states should decide. Which means — as the Supreme Court recently informed us — that the gay states will impose their marriages on traditional marriage states.
Krauthammer makes all these nice little distinctions, but in the end, he’s a social liberal. He strongly supported the decadent adulterer Giuliani in the 2008 presidential race. He told social conservatives to “grow up” and support Giuliani.
