Even President Obama has now given up on trying to make Americans like his health care policy. In an interview with The New York Times, President Obama said that he cant turn around public opinion on Obamacare through a PR push, but instead people will begin to appreciate the law once it goes into affect.
Even though polls show that the majority of people do not like the Obamacare law, the president still seems to believe that once they are forced to purchase health insurance, or pay a penalty, everyone will start to love it. But it seems like that is not really going to be the case.
Once again, the President likes to blame everyone else for the lack of success he has seen when it comes to Obamacare.
"But until then, when were getting outspent four to one and people are just uncertain about what all this means for them, were going to continue to have some polls like that," Obama said. "And me just making more speeches explaining it in and of itself wont do it. The test of this is going to be is it working. And if it works, it will be pretty darn popular.
Even with a new PR blitz, the President cant win over the public opinion:
"Over the course of six months to a year, as people sign up, and it works, and lo and behold, the people who already have health insurance are not being impacted at all other than the fact that their insurance is more secure and they are getting free preventive care, and all the nightmare scenarios and the train wrecks and the 'sky is falling' predictions that come from the other side do not happen, then health care will become more popular," Obama said.
Its funny how the President seems to think that Americans are not aware of what Obamacare really has in store for us. But we are quite aware! The penalty will not be worth it Mr. President!
Nothing but two repulsive snake oil salesmen.
“They will come to love it just as much as they love paying their taxes, maybe even more,” said Obama.
He probably thinks it’s only because we’re “racist.”/sarc
White House strategy: Stockholm Syndrome.
Very slow learner, he is.
I used to say the only thing government can do well is national defense. Now O'bastard has even ruined that with his social experimentation.
Nothing the government does works; it's all one colossal cluster-fork. That's what happens with monopoly control of markets by people with super-size egos who think they are geniuses and will fix all the "imperfections" of markets.
Obamacare is not going to work and he will have (I hope) eternal shame to suffer.
English translation from neo-marxist double-speak:
” Accept Statist Totalitarian marxism. Resistance is futile. You are merely stupid sheep who will eventually obey.”
“And you get your second part time job...”
What? No Hitler video?
People had a system already. People with jobs got insurance through their jobs. People without jobs had medicaid or some variation.
For the people who fell in the middle, all they had to do was make it easier for small employers to provide insurance, and maybe make medicaid available to more people by broadening the eligibility. They didn’t have to try to re-design the entire industry. It would have cost the taxpayer more, but he obviously doesn’t care about that. And anyway, he had his trillion dollar slush fund to pay for it with, had he wanted to.
But the purpose of Obamacare is the re-design. Obamacare still leaves people without insurance, and its raising costs for all the rest. He doesn’t care, because it was never about lowering costs or providing care. Its about making sure only he provides care at whatever cost he decides and on the terms he decides.
...and doesn’t give a damn.
Anybody getting their healthcare through these clowns, deserves what they get.
Next tax season should be an interesting time for the low info voters. And me too, as a matter of fact.
You mistake Obama for somebody who gives a damn. The only thing on his mind right now is his tee time every Saturday.
