Does Congress have their head up their posterior, or are they simply complicit?
It is a TIME for the Truth.
I’m not surprised, because the government LIES and then denies lying.
Isn’t this what got the NSA aholes in trouble with Snowden?
0 has all their porn and email habits documented and will destroy any opposition in the house.
There seems to be no major outrage from our elected officials nor from the general public.
Michelle Bachman voted to protect the NSA. How did they get to her?
Door Number 2
When’s the last time a congressman or senator had a hissy fit over constitutionality. I mean, really go on a fist-pounding rampage across the country and on the media protesting the violation of constitutional rights?
I can remember that back in the 60s but not since.
Our elected officials are all bought and paid for, none are willing to put their careers and reputations on the line over this.
Congress is in favor of tapping phone lines to acquire insider information. They can insider trade legally and listen in on any communication they want.
Add to that companies like Google that can data mine their competition and steal competing technology.
Hugely corrupt and out of control.
Complicit. Should be obvious by now. Fast and Furious. Obamacare. Benghazi. IRS. NSA. DOJ. Immigration “reform.” The list goes on. We are on our own. It’s all Kabuki theater. No one on the Hill speaks for the American people anymore.
Folks, when you stop and think about it, it is not surprising. The NSA has the ability to gather ANY electronic transmission in the US.
The big “wall” that was supposedly present was that they could only collect calls, emails, texts, etc... when a foreign entity was involved on one end. What was shocking was to find out that the NSA collected and stored EVERYTHING and only “looked” at the foreign linked stuff.
We now know they apparently looked at anything and every thing. In clear violation of the law.
BTW, anyone who doesn’t realize it, the NSA collects EVERYTHING, not just metadata. They collect the voice calls and record them. Metadata would not require the massive storage facility in Utah. Voice recording would.
This is how the Democrats cook their elections.
Let the system survive, and YOU won’t.
The more people they have looking the MORE that will be discovered. They are SEARCHING for their ENEMIES
This is a Marxist, Socialist Government working to CREATE divides in the populous.
The ruling class voted to continue the unconstitutional monitoring because it gives them an advantage over the competition. For example, Christine O’Donnell.
I Love Lists!
Seems like a lot of the elites criticizing Snowden don’t have a clue themselves about what’s going on there (or are lying to us):
Dick Cheney:
“It is difficult to understand how a contract employee had this kind of access,” Cheney added.
Cheney said the system established under the Bush administration was set up so tightly that only the president or a designated agent could access the kind of information that Snowden seemed to possess.
“Does Congress have their head up their posterior, or are they simply complicit?”
I’ve been reading articles about this NSA spying for over five years...now Congress is acting surprised and completely unaware of it?? See anyone fired or jailed yet? Pffft...simply complicit.
This revelation makes me wonder if the NSA gathers all of this data, stores it, but is not supposed to access it unless there is an actual investigation with a FISA warrant.
Kind of like the license plate cameras in local municipalities. They photograph every car license plate, keep the photos for some period of time (say, a few days to a week), and if there is a crime the cops can go back and search for the suspect’s car.
Both databases can be claimed to not be violating rights, but can be abused.
Welcome to surveillance nation. Big brother may not be watching you, but he is recording your every move on his TiVo.
We still have RINOs like Steven King claiming they don’t have access to emails.
