“I would consider any one within the FENCE at 1 am to be malicious, and here in Tx the law says it is unreasonable for you to determine if they are armed after dark.”

I'm in Texas. It would take a great deal of effort for someone to get into my small back garden. A motion alarm would go off as well as a strobe light. I would hear that. If someone touched my back door enough to vibrate it, a vibration alarm would go off. If that alarm goes off, my gun in my hand would be waiting. I would assume the motion alarm would send him on his way. The second alarm is his death knell and I mean it.

Yes but now what does he reap on this new day of freedom?

The current atmosphere is biased.

And I would suggest that you identify before you shoot.
Ages a go I had some drunken friends show up at 2 am who could not rouse me, So they jumped the fence to wrap on the window.

Glad I did not just plug away.
It sounded like breaking and entering.

Alarms? Hah! I have a momma raccoon who would pull the door handle down and walk right in my back door if I didn’t keep the deadbolt locked. But she is becoming too tame, eats right out of my hand and brought her five babies several time this month already. Those little guys are fearless and would walk right int he house and ‘go through things’ if I let them in. It’s a good thing I don’t keep a key outside. Momma would let herself and her brood in and take over!
