CAIRO (Reuters) - Egyptian security forces shot dead dozens of supporters of ousted Islamist President Mohamed Mursi on Saturday, witnesses said, days after the army chief called for a popular mandate to wipe out "violence and terrorism".
Men in helmets and black police fatigues fired on crowds gathered before dawn on the fringes of a round-the-clock sit-in near a mosque in northeast Cairo, Mursi's Muslim Brotherhood said.
"They are not shooting to wound, they are shooting to kill," said Brotherhood spokesman Gehad El-Haddad. "The bullet wounds are in the head and chest."
A Muslim Brotherhood website said 120 people had been killed and some 4,500 injured. A Reuters reporter counted 36 bodies at one morgue, while health officials said there were a further 21 corspes in two nearby hospitals.

As you know I and a few others have been on this since the get go....so let me share what this “stand off” is currently.
There are MB activists/clerics have sworn to ..” stay here until we die, one by one,” said Ahmed Ali, 24... The MB 'leadership' has ordered the people to continue the sit-in till Sunday ...... In the Rabba Mosque area Nasr City area where the Morsi people have been holding their sit in... many want to go home but are threatened if they do by the MBS.
The neighbors in the area have been filing complaints with the police about this sit-in because the MBS have built brick walls blocking the roads from them getting to and from work etc. Businesses have suffered losses and vandelism etc. The MBS built brick walls stopping all traffic thru the area. The police and military sent many messages for these people to move out and take down the walls...not to mention because of the neighbors many complaints about their stage set up and constant bellowing from it as well. The MBS last night forced Morsi people to remain in the Mosque and held them captive.....police etc. attempted to free those people and root out the MB thugs but there was firing ‘from inside’ the Mosque at the police.... so the MBS were armed.
This is the stand off...has nothing to do with anything but MB Islamic thugs against the police and military.....and the MB ‘using snipers’ to knock off their own people one by one.... as we saw and evidenced they were killing their own in the Rep.Guard incident...just as they're doing here. Then they will blame the military.
The MB Islamic thugs WANT a civil war...this is part of the plan to incite one....and they WILL shoot their own to create that. Keep in mind the MBS think these deaths are honorable.....it is not a loss to them...they continue to parade the injured and those who've died to garner Int'l sympathy at every news source that will.
What is ironic is the area the MBS shot Sadat is the very area the MBS are now loosing life...not that they care of life. But interesting just the same.
People forget that the Islamic clerics called for a Jihad against Egypt once Morsi was toppled.....they have many “snipers” that have entered the country now and that is why those who are dying have shots to the head and chest area...these guys are hired by the MBS to incite a civil war....
Remember, the moslem are known to fake deaths before the press.
No.
FMF remain in the fed bank in Denver.
A good start.
Q: “What’s a Saudi version of a picnic?”
A: “A ham sandwich, a six-pack of beer and a ticket to Bahrain”
We are not sending money to them. Never sent FMF funds.
FMF remains in the fed bank in Denver.
Waiting for the “I AM MOHAMED MURSI” to show up soon.

We never sent them money, no checks, nothing like that.
We have FMS funds that are in the fed bank and these funds are used in the US only, to purchase US military gear to be delivered to the Egyptian military. The source selection is run by the US military, the contract is between the US government and the US contractor and all funds are managed by US military program managers (SAPMs) and accounting is done my US military accountants/finance personnel.
Not a dime ends up in the pocket of the Egyptians.
My theory is that the MB, emboldened by their political win and by the islamists in the US State Department, CIA and WH, overplayed their hand in targeting Egyptian military leaders and secularists and anyone else an MB officio had a grudge against, for confiscation, trial, assassinations and executions
the MB does not play nice with other kids and never had any intention of sharing the sandbox
But Egypt is not Iran and the Egyptian military and educated upper and upper-middle classes, unlike the Shahs military and Iranian upper/mmiddle classes, did not abandon the country to psycho theocrat zealots or let themselves go gently (or ungently) into the night
If only the Wehrmacht did the same thing in 1933.
and if we had obama instead of roosevelt in 1933, he would not have “taken sides” but would have tried to broker a power sharing arrangement and “democratic elections” for the nazis
Well, the Eqypyians have the benefit of seek g other people’s mistakes.
Some of it ended up in my pocket back in the day.
I supplied materials to an American contractor constructing facilities for the Egyptian Air Force.
Peace Vector IV?
This is a pretty bold statement but I'm inclined to believe you.
The stories that the military is just blasting away at those poor MLB demostrators just doesn't ring true to me and that is the way this episode is being portrayed by the MSM.
But ... there is always a but ... Can you give us some background on your SOURCES? How do you know for sure that you are right about this?
