OJ Simpson pleaded with his parole board yesterday to reduce his prison sentence after serving almost five years, telling them he deeply regretted robbing two sports memorabilia dealers in a Las Vegas hotel room. 'I just wish I never went to that room,' he said. 'I wish I just said keep it.' The 66-year-old was handed down a harsh 33-year sentence for kidnapping, armed robbery and other charges in relation to the 2008 incident. He made an emotional plea to two Nevada parole board members via CCTV yesterday, saying he believes he has been a model inmate.

Simpson was sentenced on December 5, 2008. The judge ordered eight of the ten counts to run concurrently, with a maximum sentence of 33 years (until 2041) with parole possible after nine years in 2017 when Simpson becomes eligible at age 70.

Definition of ‘Model’: a small scale copy of the real thing.

A model inmate would serve his full time with no complaints about it.

I suspect that he can still afford all of the junk food he wants. I also suspect he is severely depressed and cries his worthless fat ass to sleep at night.

At least OJ kept his promise, he was responsible for the killer ultimately going to jail.

‘I just wish I never went to that room,’ he said.

Ron and Nicole wish you’d never come to their house on June 12th..we can all wish a lot of things

Well it wasn't really "their" house, was it? But still, you are right. O.J. lost himself to rage that night. He committed a horrific crime of passion. Had he admitted it, and repented, he would probably still be in jail. but he would be in a "better place."

Yeah after I wrote that I realized I goofed, it was Nicole’s house, Ron was being a good Samaritan when he brought her back her mother’s glasses..otherwise he would have never gone to her house. The best karma was when OJ got sentenced to prison, hopefully he never gets out

Seriously how do you get so fat in jail?

OJ is 300 pounds? Reminds me of a scene in "Goodfellas" where the Italians smuggle in all the ingredients necessary to prepare a home cooking meal in jail.

I read that OJ is the only prisoner at the prison with a TV in his cell. He bought it in the prison store. Google it and read it. Of course he’s a model prisoner. He’s watching TV 24/7. The scumbag even had a Super Bowl party in his cell. I hope someone in prison offs him.

I kind of doubt he will get offed. Lots of people - still admire him. Yeah, I know - go figure - but I think the prisoners believe its an honor to be friends with the famous OJ Simpson Just my opinion,of course.

I agree with Simpson. I believe the guys who pulled out the gun are already out of jail.

This time around, Simpson had crap lawyer and got an unjust sentence.

But had Simpson stayed away from sleezy characters he would not be in this situation. Kinda shows Simpson is stupid.

Yep. If his last name was Smith, he'll be out of jail a while ago. Guarenteed.
