Trayvon Martin's Mother Devastated to Hear Zimmerman Juror Say 'We Felt He Was Guilty'

Trayvon Martin's mother, Sybrina Fulton, said it was "devastating" to hear a juror tell ABC News in an exclusive interview that the jury in the George Zimmerman case thought the former neighborhood watchman was guilty and "got away with murder."

"It is devastating for my family to hear the comments from juror B29, comments which we already knew in our hearts to be true. That George Zimmerman literally got away with murder," Fulton said in a statement released Thursday through The Trayvon Martin Foundation. "This new information challenges our nation once again to do everything we can to make sure that this never happens to another child.

"That's why Tracy [Martin] and I have launched The Trayvon Martin Foundation to try and take something very painful and negative and turn it into something positive as a legacy to our son," Fulton added.

At the National Urban League's annual conference today in Philadelphia, Fulton asked people to "wrap your mind around what has happened."

"No prom for Trayvon. No high school graduation for Trayvon. No college for Trayvon. No grandkids coming from Trayvon," she said. "All because of a law, a law that has prevented the person who shot and killed my son to be held accountable and to pay for this awful crime."(continued)

Fulton and Martin's mom are hoping to raise awareness of the slice of our society that likes to break other people's nose and crack their head wide open on the cement.

Reached for comment later, Mrs. Martin stated that she hadn't known just how prejudiced most people are agains this segment of our society.  "If I can make it so future people can come along and break noses and crack heads open on the cement without being shot dead, I will have made some small recompense for my son Trayvon."

Well with a lady judge and 6 lady jurors he got let off. The ladies of the jury did their civic duty and the most one can complain about is that her “intuition” said Z had done wrong but there wasn’t enough proof to back up such a notion. But again she seemed to use murder to mean any fighting death she wished hadn’t happened.

This juror is a total idiot. She felt he was guilty but couldn’t vote “Guilty” because the evidence didn’t show he was guilty.

He**, with ADULTS this would have been more cut and dried. Imagine a male juror going on the talk show circuit and saying “What the he** was this doing in a court room? All the evidence - ALL OF IT - Pointed to self defence. SH**, the kid was beating the crap out of him when he got shot. End of story.

It’s all good, Sybrina. Your dear son was mugging and trying to murder what he thought was a white man. So you see, your little one was legally, justifiably and appropriately dispatched because of his own actions.

It certainly would've been cut and dried with me.

1. Kid was beating the crap out of Zimmerman. That's obvious.

2. Zimmerman said he didn't start the fight, but Martin attacked him. And he said it into a lie detector test, and passed.

3. Eyewitness confirmed Martin was on top of Zimmerman raining blows down on him.

4. A grand parade of witnesses brought by the prosecution failed to produce any evidence at all to indicate that Zimmerman was the aggressor.

Forget "reasonable doubt" here. I'm looking for ONE SINGLE SHRED OF EVIDENCE that he was the aggressor.

Didn't exist.

Self defense.

And what the F WAS this case in the first place? State should reimburse Zimmerman for his legal fees in a frivolous prosecution and apologize to the defendant, the jury and the world for wasting our ******* time.
