Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did not know that her longtime aide Huma Abedin planned to speak publicly in support of her husband, New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner, CNN reported Thursday.
Abedin appeared alongside Weiner at a hastily arranged press conference earlier this week, after it was revealed her husband had continued to send sexually explicit pictures and texts to other women, even after resigning from Congress over similar indiscretions.
But according to CNN, Abedin did not consult with Clinton who herself has grappled with a politician husband publicly straying before stepping in front of the microphones.
"She didn't know before she saw it on TV," one source close to Clinton told the network.
"Hillary Clinton was not involved," another echoed.

Sweet Weiner deal
August 13, 2012
After quitting his Queens House seat amid a notorious sexting scandal, Weiner and beautiful, brainy spouse Huma Abedin, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, landed in the sprawling, 12th-floor Park Avenue trophy residence owned by Rosen Partners LLC, which is headed by close Clinton pal Jack Rosen, records show.

Abedin, a fixture at the Clintons side for at least 15 years from Iowa to Indonesia shifted to her new role after maternity leave in the early summer of 2012, according to a source familiar with the arrangement.
The new status made her a special government employee, which was tantamount to being a consultant, according to the source, whose information was confirmed by two other staffers familiar with the matter. Multiple sources told POLITICO Abedin did work for other clients, which a friend of Abedin said totaled four, including the State Department, Hillary Clinton, the William Jefferson Clinton Foundation and Teneo, the firm co-founded by former Bill Clinton counselor Doug Band.

Involvement in Politics
Bill Clinton was a paid adviser to Teneo, along with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Clinton ended his relationship with Teneo on February 2012.[18]
During the latter half of 2012, Huma Abedin was working as a paid consultant for Teneo while also working as special government employee for U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.[19]
Client List
Teneos clients include Fortune 500 companies, philanthropies, governments, and high net worth individuals. [20]

What difference does it make?
Maybe Hillary was hoping to be our first LGBT president, coming out after the election. This messes up the plan. /s

Hillary: “I haven’t supported Weiner in decades!”
As I said yesterday, Hillary is PAYING Huma to stay with Weiner so she won’t look foolish in comparison for staying with Bill. This pretty much confirms it...
For being the world’s smartest woman, she sure knows very little.
