One problem with your scenario.

Explosive residue would be present on the pieces of the car.

Investigators “in on it” would take care of that problem, of course. But if you accept that scenario, then you can’t take the results of any investigation as truth.

Unless of course it matches the conclusion you have yourself jumped to.
