Undoubtedly, we live in an era where personal privacy is difficult to maintain. Even if you choose not to have a Facebook account or Tweet madly, you still know that your medical records are on-line somewhere, that your bank account is only a hack away from being emptied, and that cell phone records are now apparently government domain. But it gets worse.
Enter the Federal Data Hub, which will give the government access to reams of personal information compiled by federal agencies ranging from the IRS to the Department of Defense and the Veterans Administration, guarded and navigated by an army of patient navigators.
The federal government is planning to quietly enact what could be the largest consolidation of personal data in the history of the republic, Paul Howard of the Manhattan Institute and Stephen T. Parente, a University of Minnesota finance professor, wrote inUSA Today. No wonder that there are concerns about everything from identity theft to the ability of navigators to use the system to register Obamacare participants to vote.
And it gets even worse. One group acting as patient navigators will be Planned Parenthood:
Planned Parenthood is among the long list of organizations that are expected to receive taxpayer-funded navigator grants. The navigator grants would further enable Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in America, to continue its misuse of taxpayer dollars to [supplement] their big abortion business, said Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.), who says she wants to eliminate the navigator program for which $54 million in funds will be made available even without a Planned Parenthood link because its ripe for fraud and abuse, violations of privacy and identity theft.
Very, very interesting.
Census takers have to an oath in front of a judge and have a background check just to get basic information but these people will get online training to handle our medical records?
Good God, this world has turned upside down.
A big reason for this is the elimination of data tracking abortion.
“Next , he will announce that Planned Parenthood butchers will be the ones who will sit on the “ObumaCurse “ death panels !!”
Why not!? Planned Parenthood IS Murder For Hire. It’s what they do.
The Obama Government in action. I wonder where SEIU comes into this.
This belongs on multiple ping lists.
Allowing a bunch of unqualified, undertrained “patient navigators” access to everybody’s medical records?
What could possibly go wrong.
POP some popcorn, sit back and watch the train wreck happen.
Uh....I’m not sure this is all bad.
After all..I wonder how many women will want info released they had an abortion???
I would suggest floating this idea and THAT will kill PP acess to medical records!ha.
They are mostly proud of their abortions, especially those who have had several. I know because I have heard them brag.
There really is little shame.
Maybe not if they are well known women in the suburbs..but then you may very well be right...the times have sure changed.
ping for reference.
Will Planned Parenthood and other groups be able to access the medical records of everyone, or just their “patients”?
If this means that Planned Parenthood is able to see my records against my will, that is basically government-assisted rape by Planned Parenthood. They’ve got no business knowing about my body, and if they poke their nose in where I’ve never given them permission they are just like a rapist.
The government is already raping us all in this way, but now they’re going to invite their friends for some gang-banging?
If this is what they are doing, it’s time for us to get out the pitchforks Obama once implied were in store for AIG execs.
I was going to ping it out this morning but for some reason couldn’t access my ping lists.
Now I can but don’t have time until a bit later.
I need to find some free virus protection asap until my Norton arrives in mail. Any ideas?
getting ready for Ocare
Not only well-known women in the suburbs, but high-profile women from high-visibility families, some with high-powered employment.
As for the times, this openness and pride was in effect 20 years ago. Maybe they wouldn’t tell their parents or their older relatives, but their peers all knew directly.
I don’t want slimy abortion-mongers trolling through my medical data.
I don’t know much about computers. If you live near a community college, one of the software teachers could reccomend somthing.
