I suspect that this campaign is only a means to allow him access to the political funds he salted away while in Congress. He’ll be able to buy cars, houses, and spend money. Traditionally, these “campaign” expenses aren’t examined too closely. Without a campaign the money was just languishing.

Probably true. And his odious wife probably thought she was going to get her share, too.

Don’t forget that NYC also offers matching funds for the race for mayor. This could add up to over a million more to spend on dinners, travel, rent, ”consultants”, and of course a high resolution I-phone for better pictures.
