HUD's New 'Fair Housing' Rule Establishes Diversity Data for Every Neighborhood in U.S.

To ensure that "every American is able to choose to live in a community they feel proud of," HUD has published a new fair-housing regulation intended to give people access to better neighborhoods than the ones they currently live in.

The goal is to help communities understand "fair housing barriers" and "establish clear goals" for "improving integrated living patterns and overcoming historic patterns of segregation."

“This proposed rule represents a 21st century approach to fair housing, a step forward to ensuring that every American is able to choose to live in a community they feel proud of – where they have a fair shot at reaching their full potential in life,” said HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan.

“For the first time ever," Donovan added, "HUD will provide data for every neighborhood in the country, detailing the access African American, Latino, Asian, and other communities have to local assets, including schools, jobs, transportation, and other important neighborhood resources that can play a role in helping people move into the middle class."

3rd generation welfare recipients””

We are on the 5th generation .......”””

There already were 2 generation in place in the early 60’s when Johnson signed the Welfare laws into effect. 50 years later- we have now gone onto the 5th generation & in some cases, the 6th.

the stupidity of government is truly boundless.
*******
It’s not stupidity. It’s a devious and intentional scheme. The more they get away with, the more emboldened they get.

What I read into this article is the gov’t will subsidize those who can’t afford to live in the neighborhood of their choice
******
The subsidies will be funded by a new type of “exclusivity tax” on areas deemed by the government to be insufficiently diverse.

They are already attempting it in other ways.

The whole idea of Regional Planning (Agenda 21) is to tax the shit out of the suburbs to send the cash back to the rat infested inner cities that the 12 percenters destroyed in the first place.

BTW another EXCELLENT reason to shred your American Community Survey when it arrives, and refuse to participate.

Also, don’t give the Census anything other than how many people live in your household. Let’s deny them the data to engage in this sort of mischief.

That attorney on the Zimmerman prosecution team came right out and said it. “I am a Social Engineer”.

Truth is, they ALL see themselves as Social Engineers.

My first apostrophe post of the day:
The plural of Trayvon is Trayons, not Trayvon’s.
The apostrophe is used to indicate the possessive, as in Trayon’s criminal record.

I hate this but as usual if there goal were to be literally stated (it is not of course) then the math does not work.
Blacks are 14% of the population which means my neighborhood should have 14 black families and 86 white (or other) families o be perfectly racially balanced. Ask any black person you know if they wish to live in an area that is 86% white and the answer is usually “NO”.

Ask any white person if they mind living in area that is majority black and the truthful answer would be “YES”. Ask if the mind a neighborhood that has 1 in 10 black families and the answer would be ‘of course not”.

Is HUD really prepared and willing to drain Atlanta and disperse the black communities into the hinterlands of Georgia.

If the GOP had a set they would double down on this policy and require blacks of all income levels had to disperse and be placed in all income levels of neighborhoods. The poorest blacks should placed in the richest white communities.

The Huddites would not like my neighborhood. One neighbor is a sucessfull retired NBA player, One is a sucessfull retired supt of schools, one is sucessfull artist. They have all WORKED HARD to get where they are. The message they preach is one of hard work and self determination.

Memphis tried this ... moved Section 8 housing all over the city... The idea was to move people into 'better' neighborhoods because someone thought ethics and wealth rubbed off white people if you lived close enough to them. Predictably the Section 8 people brought their crime problems with them and no 'whiteness' rubbed off.

But there was one unintentional consequence... Because crime was spread out all over the city - rather than concentrated in traditional black neighborhoods the police were spread too thin to cover the city properly. Everyone suffered. Black families, white families - everyone but the criminals...

Policing's easier when cops can 'flood the zone' so calls can be answered quickly. A cop goes from a domestic abuse call on one block to a drug deal two doors down. To a liquor store robbery 3 blocks away... Much easier to cover all the crime. With the criminal class spread all over the city - crime soared ...

The poorest blacks should be placed in white liberal elite neighborhoods... and there's lots of 'em around Washington DC... DC has some of the wealthiest zip codes in the United States... and those zip codes are filled with white government workers who are TOTALLY Politically Correct.

Most of us would be happy to up our taxes to allow a whole bunch of poor blacks to have a better life living among white liberal elites... Two or three families can fit into each one of those large homes...some homes have pools...three families can share the pool. Several families can even live next to Chris Matthews and other liberal elite members of the press. The press should be allowed to express their tolerance and liberalism... Those white families have much to offer... so much love and kindness will surely stop lower class pathology...

It'll give liberal elites a chance to 'put their money where their mouth's are' so to speak... they can lead the way and show us how it should be done..

Sadly, I fear it will be like putting windmills in Ted Kennedy's line of sight - the dems will quietly try to nix it. But surely liberal elites don't want to be hypocrites... right? They would never request this for middle class neighborhood if they weren't willing to do it first... and foremost....for themselves.

We all need to help this happen... liberal elites can show us the way ... (no picking and choosing liberal elites - do it like a lottery for each family - you can't 'discriminate' based on criminal records... ) If it works Detroit can be emptied into those wealthy white liberal neighborhoods too.

I sense a solution we'd all be happy with.

And of course black “pastors”, like Rev. Wright, will live in million dollar homes in neighborhoods that are 98% white.

If you won’t live in the ghetto, the ghetto will come to you - by government fiat. This will be a huge disaster.

Average Portland home prices: Average and Median Sales Prices The average sales price so far this year is $302,700, up 13.8% from the same period in 2012, when the average was $265,900. In the same comparison, the median price increased 14.2% from $225,500 last year to $257,500 in the first half of 2013. http://www.movingtoportland.net/buy-a-home/portland-home-prices How is Section 8 gonna pay for that???

It's probably too late for that.

And not because of anything the US Census has done. People may recall that, coming out of the 2008 election and leading into the 2012 the Dems were claiming that Obama already had a massive database of household-by-household information compiled by his campaign workers. That they were going around with GPS-driven software apps plugging in all sorts of stuff that even US Census wouldn't dare to ask. And since they were generally 'volunteers' drawn from the neighborhoods they were compiling on, they didn't need to actually get people to respond themselves ... they'd just strike up conversations with other neighbors to get the information.

My friend in CA bought a nice home in a nice neighborhood for around 600K. After the housing bust, some people in her neighborhood rented out to some section 8 folks. Next thing you know her neighborhood has burglaries, drug deals, loud music all night, etc.
