It might not be the way most high-profile journalists would like to be remembered.
Not long after the passing of veteran American journalist Helen Thomas yesterday, aged 92, Hamas very own military wing, the Izzedeene al-Qassam Brigades, posted on its website a heartfelt eulogy.
The posthighlighted by the Elder of Zion blogwas entitled: Rest in Peace Helen Thomas. We respect you for taking a stand.

We should send a memorial package of pork chops or bacon.
An award winning post if I ever read one.
+1 !!!
Never mind that show off. I want to make fun and gloat. Are the munchkins coming out to sing yet? Has any Obamanite threatened anyone’s “mangy little dog”? Who’s got the ruby slippers?
In his second term he's smarter, playing Mr. Nice Guy to Israel as the whole Arab world implodes upon him.
One thing is for sure: Obama is not respected by anybody, at all, not the Israelis, not the Arabs and certainly not by the Soviets, ooops, I mean the Russians and Axis of Evil nations. He is viewed as a “wus” worse than Carter...
The truth is, is that the Lebanese people, left to their own devices, without Syrian intervention (1976-2005), PLO intervention (1970-1983), Hizbollah/Iran intervention (1982-present) might slowly move towards a peace treaty with Israel.
Note I left out Israeli intervention (1982-2000) because the Lebanese knew the Israelis really did not want to be there and pulled out unilaterally in 2000.
Helen Thomas fell back on the old Arab clan lines, like an Italian person from Sicily who must, at the end of the day, answer to the Mafia back in his home town and do whatever they ask or harm might come to the person's family. They must answer the call, be loyal as in the Arab world.
Here’s my funeral ode to her:
E5:
Pore Helen’s daid,
Pore Helen is daid,
All gather ‘round her cawfin now and cry
She had a heart of gold
And she was so very old
Oh why did such a womin have to die?
Pore Helen’s daid
Pore Helen is daid,
She’s lookin’ oh so peaceful and serene
Helen: And supine!
E5:
She’s all laid out to rest
With her hands acrost her breasts
Her fingernails have never been so clean!
(Spoken)
Then the Imam’d get up and he’d say:
(Chanting)
Folks, we are gathered here to moan and groan over our sister Helen Thomas,
who succumbed to a prolonged fatal illness,
(Spoken)
Then there’d be weepin’ and wailin’... from members of Hamas. Then he’d say:
(Chanting)
Helen was the most misunderstood woman in this here MSM.
People used to think she was a mean ugly feller and they called
her a dirty skunk and an ornery Jooo! hater
(Sung)
But the folks that really knowed her.
(Chant)
Knowed that beneath them two dirty shirts she always wore
(Sung)
There beat a heart as big as all outdoors
Helen:
As big as all outdoors.
E5:
Helen loved her feller man
Helen:
She loved her feller man
E5 (Spoken):
She loved the birds of the air and the beasts of the field.
She loved the mice and the vermin in the barns, and she treated
the rats like equals, which was right. And she loved little children.
She loved everybody and everything in the whole world, exceptin’ Jooos!
Only she never let on, so nobody ever knowed it.
(Sung)
Pore Helen’s Daid
Pore Helen is daid
Her friends’ll weep and wail for miles around
Helen: Miles Around!
E5:
The daisies in the dell
will give out a different smell
Because Helen is underneath the ground.
Helen:
Pore Helen’s daid
A Candle lights her haid
She’s layin’ in a cawfin made of wood
E5: Wood...
Helen:
And folks are feelin’ sad
Cause they useter treat her bad
But now they know their friend is gone for good
Helen: Good..
Both: Pore Helen’s Daid a candle lights her haid!
E5:
She’s lookin’ oh so purty and so nice
She looks like she’s asleep,
And her smile gives me the creeps
So let’s bury her before she yells “SURPRISE!”.
Both: Pore Helen Thomas.
