Just wondering how many people are going have the wrong leg cut off once Obama is in charge of health care.
“Just wondering how many people are going have the wrong leg cut off once Obama is in charge of health care.”
Actually, that happened in the Tampa Veteran’s hospital several years ago. Note once, but twice. My Dad knew one of the men. Now, they write on your body what is to be done while you’re awake. (But, still...damn!)
Was that a serious question? Because while I oppose ObamaCare I hope you realize that Obama's not actually taking over the healthcare system. Instead, the Exchanges and purchase requirements are going to lead to an increase in federal involvement with health care, but that will be gradually over decades -- certainly nothing that happens by the end of Obama's term.
Underwood better be preying the contractor was insured. With the number of illegal aliens running amuck in America, there is a good chance he's not.
When my late wife went in for knee surgery I wrote on one with a magic marker, not here.
You realize the murmurings emanating from the left are that ObamaCare is a train wreck and the answer is single payer, which for all intents and purposes is socialized medicine.
I did that too, and the surgeon wrote a funny note in response. Afterward, he mentioned that notes are a good idea (totally unnecessary at Johns Hopkins, in his opinion, but useful in many other places).
So give him the house next door.

Empty and not lived in evidently per the story.... And it was bought from granny’s estate. Was their house but not moved into yet. Urbanflage per se....:o)
Tiger’s finished. This was his for the taking. He won’t catch Jack.
And the judge would dismiss the lawsuit, saying that the plaintiff didn’t have a leg to stand on.
“And the judge would dismiss the lawsuit, saying that the plaintiff didnt have a leg to stand on.”
Actually, I think they both died shortly after.
You really haven’t a clue ,do you?
I’ve seen some quite ordinary looking homes and even some expensive homes in good condition demolished to make way for a road,a mall, or the new property owner wants to build a McMansion on combined lots, etc.I watched a fellow working for two years to renovate an old stately brick home ,and then suddenly one weekend it was turned into a pile of rubble with the giant loader left parked on the pile. Why?
One of my distant neighbors twice waited until a weekend and then completely demolished two historical structures(historical to the community but apparently not “protected”).Another fellow did the same thing with his building in town. Now there the then mayor and preservation board viciously hounded the man for not getting permission , until he died of a heart attack.
Demolishing the wrong house or other building ,just like police SWAT teams raiding the wrong house are the work of SLOPPY,LAZY,DUMASSES who don’t bother to check and doublecheck before taking an irreversible action.
Nor are buildings salvaged as a matter of routine;instead ,once the electric, gas, and water are shut off curbside, a tracked loader typically smashes the building and loads the debris into large dump trucks.
Well, what is coming fast is a vast downgrading of the medical personnel who will provide your care from MDs to NPs, and various paraprofessionals. Along with that will be major restrictions on access to health care so you will be in more serious condition by the time you are seen.
I just hate it when that happens.
