Im not buying it. The big news that came out last week about the labor unions unhappy with Obamacare just doesnt strike true. On July 12, James Hoffa of the Teamsters, Joseph Hansen of the Food and Commercial Workers, and D. Taylor of UNITE-HERE wrote a harsh letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. The letter stated that unless Mr. Obama enacts an equitable fix, the Affordable Care Act will shatter not only our hard-earned
Ok, lets just back up a minute. Arent these the same people who were the driving force in getting Obamacare passed? Didnt they spend large sums of money on the congressional campaigns to elect Democrats in 2006 and 2008? Didnt these same union leaders furiously lobby in favor of health care reform in 2009 and 2010? And, correct me if I am wrong, but didnt they even have a hand in writing this train wreck of a law?

Like Hillary said: What difference does it make.
We are screwed.
I still don’t get it. A bill has to be passed for Single Payer and I just don’t see it passing in this Congress. So again my question, How does the Regime go from ObamaCare collapse to Single Payer?
If amnesty passes it is possible. There are too many Rhinos who will just go along.
Again I ask: HOW does the Regime go from ObamaCare collapse to Single Payer? It would require legislation and I just don't see it passing anytime soon. Oh, and executive order can't be used on something this broad.
Thanks PJ-Comix.
I agree with your observations. My comments were based on what I think the Left including the MSM is hoping for.
I think back in 2009, the Rats were counting on Congress remaining in Rat hands. 2010 election results put that assumption to rest. So now that Republicans control congress, how in hell can they expect a Single Payer bill to pass? Does not compute.
Perhaps someone on your list can provide an answer because I just don’t see how Single Payer can pass in Congress.

I agree with you! Only a massive defeat of Republicans
in the House could bring about single payer. I think the left believes that that could happen sometime in the future.
I think the unions supported Obamacare in ignorance of what it actually contained and are truly scared about losing their rich benefit plans. However unions would also be worse off under a single payer government plan unless they and members of Congress managed to create a two tier system with a top notch plan for politicians and unions and third world care for the rest of us.
Executive Order
My pea-brained evaluation of this all along: ObamaCare was designed to fail so that Barry can act as an outsider (again) and swoop in with the “solution” of single-payer. Barney Frank admitted this in a few interviews that the end goal has always been Single Payer. The Cloward-Piven concept of overwhelming the system sets the stage for a seemingly reasonable solution, or next step, of Single-Payer. ObamaCare needs to fail in order to get to the real goal of Single Payer. I think it was always cooked into the books as a stepping stone.
At the rate things are going, he won’t need Congress. If worse comes to worse, he’ll order it by Presidential (or possibly Imperial or Royal) edict.
To understand you need to view the world through a liberal lens. To liberals the previous situation where only employed people were covered was so unacceptable that they can’t conceive of going back to it. Obamacare was always an interim step on the way to the utopian ideal of single payer with free Skittles and watermelon iced-tea for all. So, once the interim fails the one and only and obvious solution is the single payer system. They will pull out all the stops. The media will interview people whose children are dying from (fill-in-blank.) There will be tearful exposes and CBS will run a prime-time special. And, (OMG!) college girls will be having unprotected sex because there are no free condoms and birth control! Something MUST be done and it MUST be done NOW! Because so many people have gerbil brains it may work.
ObamaCare was designed to fail. It was always nothing more than a “the pathway to single payer.”
Just imagine single payer as comprehensive immigration reform
“So can anybody out there give a scenario on how to go from ObamaCare Collapse to Single Payer? “
Executive Fiat and Goldman Sachs. We can no longer count Republicans in the house or senate, with the exception of a few as allies in fighting big government. Which means Obama can do whatever he wants.
