Seven times, Fox News anchor Jamie Colby tried to get George Zimmerman's brother to criticize the president and his speech about Trayvon Martin. And seven times, he declined to do so.
Robert Zimmerman has earned a reputation for his outspoken interviews. After the verdict, for example, he went on CNN and suggested that Martin was looking to get a gun and grow marijuana. During the case, he was a font of unswerving on-air support.
So, when Fox spoke with him by phone shortly after the president's speech today, they likely expected something other than what they got. In question after question, Colby tried to elicit some combativeness, some critique of the speech. And in answer after answer, he didn't rise to the bait.
Zimmerman's take: It was good the president spoke, and what he said was important. He agreed with the president — he didn't even object to the government's on-going investigation of possible civil rights charges. But most of all, he agreed that kids needed mentors. He kept coming back to this, turning Colby's leading questions into ways of advocating for mentorship.

Hopefully he mentioned how his brother had mentored black kids at school(s).
No point in offending Obama more than necessary. They are trying to get the race baiters off their backs. And they are probably planning to sue the prosecutors, and perhaps others. So, it only makes sense to be polite.
Or to put it in other terms, walk softly and carry a big stick.

We can’t forget, these people are Obama voters! Just because he didn’t murder Trayyyvon, doesn’t mean anyone in the family has grown any brains.
He’s been doing a stand-up job for someone in his position. I think he handles himself better than most politicians and TV pundits.
How do you explain the difference in his “tone” from earlier in the week? He was relatively combative then.
I think he’s probably a little bit of a liberal considering he’s gay.
People, don’t forget; the GZ is a Lib-Dem. GZ was - and still maybe (though I don’t see how) - an O-rimmer. Most likely, so is his brother.

I’m pretty sure she was playing devil’s advocate and not for one second trying to entrap him with any agenda other than to show how ridiculous the liberals are. Am I wrong? Rarely. LOL

Guy appears to be quiet intelligent. When dealing with thugs like O and H the best policy is to keep a still tongue and a watchful eye.
