There are six senators up for re-election with a worse record...and is that rating a lifetime rating or a “what have you done lately?” one?
My point is that this guy is right much, much more than he is wrong—even by the reckoning of your link, it is 3/4...I’ll take it and hope Liz, if she gets her mind right on the social issues, replaces a DEMOCRAT senator. :)
Lifetime ratings are useless. Politicians can vote great when they first get there, then “grow” in office and hide behind a lifetime rating.
All the percentages I used to compile the average were from 2013 or 2012, their most recent votes.
Whether Cheney beats Enzi or some other conservative, he needs to go before he becomes a Ted Stevens, an Arlen Specter, or a Richard Lugar i.e. move even further down the list. Look at Hatch lately, he’s safely reelected and like clockwork, turning left.
Enzi has been a senator for 18 years. Time to go. If the republicans retake the senate, Enzi will be chairman of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committee. And Enzi’s an old Kennedy buddy and handmaiden. He’ll thwart any repeal of Obamacare, etc. because he’s a go-along, get-along type.
