Lifetime ratings are useless. Politicians can vote great when they first get there, then “grow” in office and hide behind a lifetime rating.
All the percentages I used to compile the average were from 2013 or 2012, their most recent votes.
Whether Cheney beats Enzi or some other conservative, he needs to go before he becomes a Ted Stevens, an Arlen Specter, or a Richard Lugar i.e. move even further down the list. Look at Hatch lately, he’s safely reelected and like clockwork, turning left.
Enzi has been a senator for 18 years. Time to go. If the republicans retake the senate, Enzi will be chairman of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committee. And Enzi’s an old Kennedy buddy and handmaiden. He’ll thwart any repeal of Obamacare, etc. because he’s a go-along, get-along type.
okay then.
If you kick them all out on schedule, they’ll have no incentive or reward to stay conservative.
From all I can tell, Enzi’s one of the most conservative Senators we have. One of the few to still be staunchly illegal immigration and anti-Rubio’s amnesty, a libertarian-leaning Constitutionalist when it comes to stopping government’s intrusion on our rights and privacy such as with the NSA, a low-tax, small goverment type, etc..
Yeah, the Internet tax was a mistake and he was once part of the ‘Gang of Six’ on healthcare, though he always fought Obamacare. I’m not away of too many other blemishes on his record.
