DETROIT (AP) -- Detroit has become the largest city in U.S. history to file for bankruptcy.
State-appointed emergency manager Kevyn Orr on Thursday asked a federal judge permission to place the city into Chapter 9 bankruptcy protection.

Ever looked at Detriot of Google Maps? Entire blocks are already grass. The remainder mostly only have a few deli pared houses standing.
And HOW did that happen?

As has been pointed out since the 1970s, the wealth does not exist to pay all the pensions of all the people government was giving long term employment to.
Detroit and other big cities will crash first.
Then states like California and New York.
But it is all going to fall. Math has no mercy.

That white flight, plus extreme mismanagement of city finances, is why we've reached this point today, sad to say.
That was part of the deal. They’d get Obama re-elected and he’d make sure they all got Federal bailouts in his second term.
Once he had rolled the Republicans on the sequester and got a big tax increase and open-to-spend. But that didn’t happen, so now they’re improvising.
The riots were just the beginning.
When Coleman Young became Mayor he said something wacky and just a bit frightening every other day that sent a thousand more white families fleeing towards 8 Mile.
Here is my problem, I don’t want the citizens to get set up in our cities and bring their stupidity to us. They should have to stay there.
