'Whitey' Bulger Witness Found Dead

Stephen "Stippo" Rakes, a possible witness in the murder trial of alleged crime boss James "Whitey" Bulger, has been found dead, authorities said.
The body of Rakes, 59, had "no obvious signs of trauma" and an autopsy is being performed to determine the cause of death, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Lincoln, Mass., Police Chief Kevin Mooney announced today.
The corpse was found on Mill Street in Lincoln yesterday at 1:30 p.m., police said.

I wouldn’t jump to conclusions here. Whitey wasn’t in the mafia, he was part ot the Boston Irish Winter Hill gang. Most of those guys are either dead or in jail. Whitey is pretty much hated by the entire Irish mob because he was informing on almost all his old mob associates to the FBI. Thus, Whitey doesn’t have many, if any, mob associates who would want to kill a witness against him. Of the hundreds of witneeses testifying against Whitey this guy was pretty small potatos, so I do know that Whitely would spend a bunch of money paying a pro hitman to take him out. My bet is it turns out to be natural causes. It happens.
