Southern Wisconsin weighing in: I’ll take this temporary heat - we needed to dry out, too! 12” of rain BEYOND what was normal for June this season; it was brutal!

Was in Wisconsin in mid-June for our son's wedding in Oostburg (north of Milwaukee, just south of Sheboygan) and I noticed all the fields that still hadn't been planted yet because they were too wet. That included our daughter-in-law's grandfather's field that normally was planted by then with corn and it lay fallow due to being too wet to plow.

Yep. They JUST got the Sweet Corn in around my farm (I only own a few acres, but it LOOKS like I live on Southfork; lucky me!) a scant three weeks ago. It’s about a foot tall, now.

Those fields are the last to be harvested for the canning company, though - my guys aren’t too worried. Rain this week would be welcome, though!

Last year, they planted Lima Beans. Due tot he drought all they had for their efforts were a meager crop of BABY Limas. :(
