10News has learned [San Diego] Mayor Bob Filner [Democrat] has agreed to be the keynote speaker at a benefit for sexual assault victims.
A women veterans group tells 10News the mayor’s camp has just confirmed the appearance. Filner was originally scheduled to attend as an award recipient.
The group has stripped him of the award. Instead, he is set to address the scandal now consuming City Hall.
Said scandal being in two parts:
•That Bob Filner still has not resigned after having multiple, credible accusations of sexual harassment made against him by numerous members of his own party*; •And that the San Diego and California Democratic parties have apparently decided that their response said refusal to resign will not go above the level of ‘sternly-worded note.’
I would like to note here, once again, that the Left needs to start learning to police its own. Particularly if the Left wants to keep trying to get the rest of us to live up to the very rules that the Left refuses to take seriously.
Being a rat gives him a free pass and he should win all the awards they can heap upon this fine piece of crap.
And the Repubs are to stupid to run with this Democrat war on Women. This is a gift to Repubs.

Ya, that was so stupid at the convention, at which arguably half of the delegates objected to God being mentioned. And he had that deer in the headlights look when it happened.
But, at other times, he and other Democrats lectured us about how we have to accept everyone, no matter who they love. Code words for accepting homosexuality, trans-whatever sexuality and all the rest of it.
There has got to be a way for Republicans to use this sort of thing against Democrats.
If Democrats can use some ill chosen words by Republicans about abortion against the entire Republican Party, why can’t Republicans pin this on the entire Democrat party???
Yes, there have been Republicans who have been involved with sex harrassment. But Democrats, for whatever reason, don’t seem to suffer from it.
Maybe because Democrats are liberal and non-judgemental, they find it hard to be judgemental to one of their own who violates their standards????

The Dems feel no shame in being hypocritical. None. If they are defending one of their own, it simply doesn’t matter. Dems believe that their ends justify any means, and a little hypocrisy doesn’t matter.
Since Democrats lust for victim status above all else, perhaps Filner is attending the convention to help meet the demand.
