Right To Life: It comes in the Constitution before liberty and the pursuit of happiness and may help pick Texas' next governor as a Democratic candidate challenges a late-term abortion law less restrictive than Europe's.
Before the firestorm surrounding George Zimmerman's exercising his right to self-defense, there was Kermit Gosnell, the late-term abortion doctor who was convicted of murdering African-American babies who somehow survived his procedure only to be slain outside the womb.
Unlike Zimmerman, Gosnell received little media concern, though the children he killed would never grow up to wear a hoodie, and abortion, including the late-term variety, poses a greater threat to the viability of the black community than gang bangers and neighborhood watchmen combined.
The issue of late-term viability that arose in the Gosnell case has become a hot potato with the passage of a law pushed by outgoing Gov. Rick Perry that bans abortion after 20 weeks of fetal development.
That law was filibustered briefly by Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis, who is pondering a race to fill Perry's seat and became a media sensation, appearing on three Sunday talk shows June 30.
Davis has presented this law as part of the "war on women," even though it affects only 1% of all abortions in Texas.
A quick bit of math and you discover that means at least 8,000 abortions per year after 20 weeks in the U.S., a number that dwarfs all the mass shootings in recent years that are said to prove the need for gun control.

BZZZZZT. Sorry, but thanks for playing. Those words come not from the Constitution but from the Declaration of Independence, which came BEFORE the Constitution. So BEFORE the Constitution, the right to life was DECLARED to be SELF-EVIDENT and UNALIENABLE.
Overall, a decent editorial despite the egregious factual error in the first sentence.
Great piece. Logic and reason trumps the lefts emotionalism.
I sure hope Wendy runs for gov and p*sses away a billion Democrat campaign dollars on the way to a humiliating defeat.
Wendy vs Greg in an open debate...
Popcorn time!
.
I can’t wait for the backlash the libs on Messed-Up NBC will get as they begin to rag on Greg’s use of a wheel chair.
