In an Interview today with an Atlanta news anchor, former president, Jimmy Carter, said the Jury in the case against George Zimmerman made the right decision in finding him not guilty.
Now I’m really confused - this is the first time I’ve ever agreed with Jimmah about anything, and that goes all the way back before he gave away the Panama Canal...
“After midnight his brain turns into a pumpkin again.”
Or a little peanut.
You just deciphered his cunning treachery.
I'd put him in the top 5 or 6. Both LBJ and Woodrow Wilson had more years to do damage. Then there was FDR, grand-daddy of them all, so maybe Jimbo even drops to #6. Particularly when you consider his four years of misrule was so bad that even Massachusetts voted for Ronald Reagan twice.
FDR gets a few points for leadership in World War II, many of which are negated by the previous nine years.
However, I still think James Buchanan was worse than BO if only for the fact that he ushered in a civil war. But BO has 3.5 more years to go.
Obviously, PJC is a white RACIST.
I’m not surprised by this at all.
Carter is, first and foremost, an engineer. Navy nuke reactor guy (submarines - although he left due to family hardship before being assigned to a boat) who went through the old Rickover school.
Engineers, IMHO, make the best jurors (I’ve said this a couple of times on other threads about this travesty, er, trial). They’ll take a very dispassionate, and also very thorough approach based on fact, evidence and logic.
Which is one of the reasons why so few make it onto a jury. Usually one side or the other wants to mount a case based in emotion ... something engineers are pretty good at compartmentalizing out of the equation.
jimmy batting 1 for 10,000.
that said, good for him for finally getting one right.
Cut and paste the source link into your browser and read what he actually said. His reasoning was as flawed as always. He just managed to be wrong by 360 degrees this time.
On the contrary, I did live through the Carter administration and Carter made some good decisions and some bad. The peace accord between Egypt and Israel was signed during his administration. Egypt kept its commitment to this.
The reason I say he was intelligent is because:
After serving in both the Atlantic and Pacific U.S. Submarine Fleets, Jimmy Carter attended graduate school majoring in reactor technology and nuclear physics.
Also, this little tidbit:
Though Carter’s father, Earl, died a relatively wealthy man, between his forgiveness of debts and the division of his wealth among heirs, his son Jimmy Carter inherited comparatively little. For a year, due to a limited real estate market, the Carters lived in public housing (Carter is the only U.S. president to have lived in housing subsidized for the poor)
He also is responsible for creating the Department of Education - (curses on that)
Carter was a radar officer who spent about a year in the nuclear program:

Someone on his staff made mental slip and allow “right” in there instead of “wrong”. Jimmuh just reads what he is told ... his brain turned to silly putty a long time ago.
LOL— I know! Did not see that coming. :^)
Congrats, Carter. You have just blown your cred with libs and have joined Snowden and Daniel Ellsburg as one of their most hated and reviled figure. Expect the “carter is just a southern, racist, hick” accusations to come flying at you.
Jimmay Cartah raciss
OK, I'm betting on the Cubs to come back from a 15 game deficit and win the World Series this year.
Here you go...
“I think the jury made the right decision based in the evidence presented because the prosecution inadvertently set the standard so high that the jury had to be convinced that it was a deliberate act by Zimmerman and that he was not defending himself and so forth. It’s not a moral question, it’s a legal question and the American law requires that the jury listens to the evidence presented.”
~ Carter
Well, now I’m not ashamed to admit I visited the Jimmy Carter Museum in Atlanta.
(Waste of time.)
