George Zimmerman haters throughout the media have carped and whined about the fact that there weren’t any African-Americans on the jury despite the law requiring the accused NOT the victim be judged by his peers.
On CNN Newsroom Tuesday, it was revealed that a potential black juror had been struck by the prosecution for committing the crime of being a Fox News watcher (video follows with transcript and commentary):

I had jury duty in March, and it was 3 days selecting the jury (I was not called up) from 200 prospective jurors. The attorneys DID ask each person called up where they get their news information, and what TV channels they watch for news. So evidently it does matter.
If one wanted to avoid jury duty, what book should one carry to the interview?
Isn't that guy on the right supposedly the husband of juror 37, the lie that's been promulgated all over twitter?
This is great... so blackness doesn’t trump the REAL horror - that a person might be conservative...

I should have said I didn’t know that watching certain, GOVT APPROVED news channels was a requirement to be on a jury.

Come to think of it, it won’t matter now as the defense won and managed to convince the jury Z was innocent. But a black FNC watcher is indeed, rare.
So, they weren't black yet?
It might look like it was because the jury panelist admitted watching FNC. But has to be extrapolated from that, they might be moderate or conservative, therefore the fact they were black wouldn’t cut it for being on the jury.
It has been said that blacks are mad because no blacks were chosen.
Actually, they are mad because of the verdict. They wanted stupid liberals (I know, redundant) on the jury regardless of their race.
Tell you what sealed it with this jury. THREE of them were locked in for aquittal. They understood the case and the law and evidence from the get go.
The three who thought he should be found guilty of SOMETHING just didn’t get it.
But when they realized the 3 acquits were unyielding and had it explained to them WHY, they could be moved.
And they were.
