Been giving this a lot of thought.
There’s no way Z could have known what the intent was. And there’s no way even T could have calibrated the beating to stop short of severe injury/death. Z could’ve easily ended up alive but a brain damaged vegetable.
I’ve got it all figured out - what the anti-Z people wanted to happen in this confrontation.
It’s simple. They wanted Zimmerman to be severely injured or dead. At the hands of the “baby Trayvon” - what a tough young black dude!!
Because if the roles were reversed and Z had jumped Trayvon and pummeled his face and banged his head on concrete, and if T had the strength/skill to overcome this or had a gun, Z’s enemies would have hailed and cheered T beating and/or killing Z.
Therefore, only Z’s severe injury or death would’ve satisfied these people. And they would be celebrating it, not just defending it.
Shame on us for lumping all Blacks into a THESE people group!
There are many Blacks who agree with the verdict; but they sure as hell ain't gonna get much ink or air time!
