"Talking Points" understands the anger towards George Zimmerman. He initiated the fracas. But you don't convict someone of murder because he shows poor judgment or because he racially profiles.

In some parts of this country, that is a true statement.
BOR assumes that law-abiding people must cower in their homes and cars, giving up their right to walk through their own neighborhoods without getting attached.

O’Reilly made less sense than usual on this commentary - take that however you wish!
Without “racial” profiling, there would not be any blacks (Nigerians, Ugandans, Ethiopians, Somolians, etc.), Asians (Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, etc.), arabs, caucasians (Germans, French, British, Polish, Russian, etc.), hispanics (Puerto Ricans, Spanish, Mexicans, etc.), etcetera, etcetera. Say goodbye to all your ethnic heritage if you want to eliminate “racial” profiling.
George Zimmerman was in many ways heroic! He cared about his neighbors, and his neighborhood enough to help keep it safe. He placed himself in danger to that end. But while he would have rather the police handle the encounter with TM; TM decided to violently assault GZ. GZ had stood against injustice in the past and had worked in his community to make it a better place. To infer as BOR did that it is poor judgment to get out of one's truck and keep a visual on a suspicious character, is to further infer that black men have a violent streak in them by nature and that black crime should not be resisted because it is their right to fight, steal and neglect the common courtesies of civilized life.
BOR would do better to encourage all people to act, dress and live in a polite manner and to carry a firearm to ensure that victims are not defenseless. BOR - seems to want everyone to cower in fear and to allow themselves and their neighbor to be a defenseless victim - shame on you BOR! Heroes, are a courageous enough to protect their neighbors. Would BOR call the Navy seals foolish for their bravery? the AZ fire fighters that put them selves in danger to save a town? the police officer that places his life and the life of a perp in danger for the good of a society? Bill grow a pair and add some virtue to your metro-sexual sensibilities.
GZ is not pure from all sin, but in this encounter he was more heroic than BOR has ever demonstrated in his own life.
I agree but would say the following: no one has pointed out that George Zimmerman has as much right to use the sidewalk as did the one upon whom Justice was served.
I lost all respect of Oreilley when he tried to take the middle ground on the Swift Boat Vets. It was then that I realized his schtick was that he was the “thoughtful guy in the middle”. I don’t watch or listen.
I'm thinking the same thing. Hoping it's O'Reilly that gets the boot and not Hannity or Greta in the fall.
Don’t think that’s gonna happen.
As much as we dislike O’Reilly. He is the top rated show on not just the network.. but all of cable news.
They would have to be whacked out of their minds to get rid of him.
He and Hannity are both the top 2 rated shows.
More likely.. they’ll move Greta down an hour and put Megyn in Greta’s current spot.
I only bother to watch that show when Laura Ingraham or Greg Gutfeld are guest hosting.
Best thing I am doing is NOT watching him any more.......if his ratings go down...........................oh well. Hey maybe then Fox will not pay him so much, who knows.
They should go visit the Tories in the UK and ask them what they would say in this case or the other, and then just parrot it back with American English.
“Turn. Him. Off.”
I did. A long time ago. And since then I have turned a lot of them off. I am a much happier person these days...
This thread is corrupted. Can’t see past the first few posts.
How does he keep his high ratings year after year? WHO watches him anymore?
Ted Nugent said it best: Zimmerman was doing what he was SUPPOSE to be doing. If Zimmerman was up to no good, WHY would he call the cops? And as part of his job of neighborhood WATCH he WATCHED were Traydmark was going only Traydmark decided to beat Zimmerman up which was quite a beating if you listen to how long Zimmermans screams for help go on.
If you have had a lot of criminal actiity (particularly burglaries recently) and you want to curtail it in your community what do you do? You join CrimeWATCH, become a watchman, report any suspicious activity what you see, and call the police if necessary. If you see someone that looks suspicious that matches the description of what witnesses have described as a burglar in previous reports and they are walking around in the same vicinity, you stop them and ask them what they are doing there. If they’re just walking through to get to their home, they’ll say so without a suspicious demeanor, and walk on and you dont call the police. Of course, if they are guilty of past criminal activities and don’t like it they might walk on then double back in the dark to give you a beatdown.
“A stuffed raccoon...” :)
huh lol?
