Juror who called Trayvon Martin 'a boy of color' has her book deal REVOKED

A juror in the George Zimmerman trial has revealed that at no point did the largely-white all-female jury consider the motivation behind the killing of Trayvon Martin.

The woman, identified only as Juror B37, said that they believed that it was a ‘tragedy’ that came from Zimmerman going too far but said that the former neighborhood watchman’s ‘heart is in the right place’. When asked by Cooper if she would feel comfortable having Zimmerman patroling her neighborhood, she said that while Martin's death was tragic, it would serve as a learning experience. 'I would feel comfortable having George, but I think he learned a lesson,' she said, hesitating slightly. 'I think he'd be more responsible than anyone else on this planet right now.'

Hours after the interview with Cooper aired, the literary agent who agreed to represent the juror announced that she withdrew her services. 'After careful consideration of the book project with Zimmerman #JurorB37, I have decided to rescind my offer of representation,' agent Sharlene Martin said via Twitter.

Ms Martin also put out a statement from the juror herself, who said: 'This potential book was always intended to be a respectful observation of the trial from my and my husband's perspectives.' 'Now that I am returned to my family and to society in general, I have realized that the best direction for me to go is away from writing any sort of book and return instead to my life as it was before I was called to sit on this jury.'

Good. No one should profit by doing their civic duty. Conflict of interest.

I’m almost sure 1 of the 6 will write a tell-all. Almost everyone on the OJ case from witnesses etc opened their big mouths. My money is on the guy who was the judge for the case. What the heck was this guy’s name..

More social engineering, now that it's out in the open. First, Paula Deen's book, now this person's.

Your books will now only be published if you are of the right opinion on things.

So she doesn’t get to profit, not yet, anyway. There’s always another publisher. Heck, if OJ could find one surely a juror can.

Unbelievable.

Didn't get the narrative she wanted. Not interested in the truth.

We saw this with the OJ trial, everyone got rich and wrote books and even changed careers, but everyone went after the middle class jurors if they tried to profit, for some reason they are different than the elites.

I’d read it. I imagine every trial lawyer in America would too.

I think she decided it wasn’t worth risking her life over.

She could easily self-publish on Amazon for e-book Kindle
download and totally cut the publishers out of the deal to
keep all of the profit. E-books that go viral on Amazon
can sell 60,000 or more copies in one day!

Anyone should be free to profit in any legal manner that doesn't injure, or impinge upon the rights of, others. If someone wants to buy what they have to sell, it's nobody's business if or how much they may profit from it.

Take off the jackboots and think about what you're saying, man!

"I’d read it. I imagine every trial lawyer in America would too."

Why? To tell everyone what a stupid politically motivated sap the entire prosecution was?

I already know that.

Now that Ms. Sherelle Martin has "outed" herself, she better be looking over her shoulder for the rest of her life.

Good. No one should profit by doing their civic duty. Conflict of interest.

If government forces a person to put their life in jeopardy by serving on a jury in an explosive case, there's absolutely no conflict of interest whatsoever in writing a book later on. Books are written all the time by ex-presidents, ex-judges, ex-lawyers, etc., who were all paid much, much more than jurors.

I'm a woman :-)

And you sound like a libertarian. I did think about what I was saying....It's a tough situation. I just see a conflict of interest where a juror's desire to get off the jury to write her book and make money might cause insufficient deliberation, or the juror might be concerned about what would make for good reading and neglect her primary duties of delivering a just verdict in favor of an interesting story.

Like I said, it's difficult. If I were a defendent, I wouldn't want to worry about the jury being dazzled with dollar signs as they decide on my freedom.
