... My guess is that the Prez with a fez is patiently waiting for a flashpoint to erupt so that the manufactured and planned festivities will begin and then spread. Then after a day or so of those long awaited festivities .... Mr. Prez will then take to the media and call for calm and civility.

..... Of course, he won't be doing it as an attempt to actually stop the festivities, but to garner some much needed photo and video ops to help with his disintegrating poll numbers and to bolster his image in time for the midterms.
